hmmm maybe i'll try turning the in app volume to the max for the dash cam.

tried download video using android, sound is barely audible.

can you do a quick check if your dashcam speaker volume is low or high?
*
err....now you actually say dashcam speaker low audio volume or dashcam video itself captured low audio volume? confused.gif

me both seem fine.

video downloaded via app audio low.

tried playback direct from the dashcam. no problem, can hear my mom giving long lecture and radio singing. same video downloaded using app can't hear shit. thought that the dashcam speaker volume might have some connection, but doesn't seem affecting recording audio. and just now the app reset km/h back to mile/h.

haih. problematic app.

looks like the best way to retrieve video is direct SD card.
*
i think me here no such problem, even got 'low volume' also not that extreme. maybe like 10~15% lower than usual.

never try extract the sd card so i not sure the audio from original file.
but i think you might try another android phone to test, maybe your phone encode the video and lower the volume

maybe it get praised so hard cuz... no problem?
no problem
i don't experience lag at all.
4k 30fps viewing on dashcam itself and on phone and on uploaded view on youtube all no lag.
i have posted video samples in this thread as well.
*
ikr.
just like me previously using iroad no even have problem with its wifi adapter (it still working today on pc even the dashcam itself dead already lol)

but in x50/x70 group quite a lot people have bad experience with a800.

Agreed - I couldn't see ahead clearly, especially with the weather conditions. The extremely dark tint of the Accord severely hampered my visibility of the traffic ahead. Luckily I had already noticed the empty left lane and was already thinking of overtaking on the left but decided to stay on lane until the somewhat harsh braking of the Honda Accord. Thank god for ABS + Traction Control + Vehicle Stability Assist + me leaving some space with the car ahead.

Also of course, thanks to the dashcam, I can share with everyone my close call tongue.gif
*
tint is one of the problem.
another problem is most of the driver like to keep their foot always on accelerator, when in front car decelerate(yes, not brake), they instantly pressing brake without thinking.

incase you dont know about the case,
last week or two got video of one car tailgating(yea, neitizen say so, but i dont) a pickup and pickup last miniute avoid accident car, causing the dashcam car that 'tailgating' straight hit into.
netizen straight throw out:-
- defensive driving
- 3 second rule
- bla bla bla.

by paper surely the set-ed rule work, but how malaysian drive we know that is too optimistic to start with.
with that case, 3 second rule on high speed, 100kmh would like 50+meter away.... i bet people will overtake you dangerously.

*disclaimer
i am not support tailgating, just some netizen blindly pulling out 'law' to blame
like they never drive like that before

Defensive driving, 3 second rule is not a law, but a best practise guide. You can do all of this, and be the most safe driver on the road, but the person behind/around you might not be following this. Case in point, my dashcam video - I'm not 100% sure, but looking at the video (need to view full screen + full 4K resolution) the car behind me just barely avoided an accident with the Honda Accord. but the car behind it might just have crashed into them.
*
yea. that why i use the word 'law', with apostrophe.
most people just pull these out their mouth. driving safe is a thing, but other people dangerous causing accident is another thing.

even you got dashcam, and you crashed into that accord.
all these sjw/kibod warrior will blame you:
-playing phone (top in the list)
-tailgating
-speeding (if your video no show speed)

but lucky, lyn other than /k overall logic ok and not that toxic.

X2 Pro/X2S Pro is 1440p front cam while the rear cam is 720p for X2 Pro and 1080p for X2S Pro.

A800S is 4K front and 1080p rear.

Then we all know which is using capacitor and lithium ion.

Sorry, Mixed with mini 5 spec already...

Damn the model naming...

one of my cars is actually using x2pro and it is draining my car battery as per feedback from my service tech. he unplugged it and my battery has been working fine.
*
Any dashcam with parking mode will drain youe battery, unless you got external battery pack for it.

i wanna ditch the ddpai. do you have any good recommendation? i am okay with those without parking mode. appreciate your advice, thanks smile.gif
*
me just from iroad to ddpai, both brand have their own issue, but now i actually slightly hate ddpai lol
due to one day i notice i press the button no respond, and found out dashcam powered up fine, button not work + no record video for days already.
if me no hand itchy to press it, i wont know no record at all; mean if me accident no sh*t can proof
link to my reply in this tered. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=105488538

other brand need to ask masta blurjoey whistling.gif

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Oct 17 2022, 01:46 PM)
Get Korean dashcam la. At least the battery protection cut off is working properly at the set voltage. laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

External pack also good but not all is willing to pay for it thought.

If not wrong, I think DDPAI got it's own external battery pack. Saw in some HK site.
*
ya..ddpai have the battery pack, but no one carry in malaysia
maybe pricing not so friendly + malaysian always 'go as cheap as possible' style

aiya...dont blame other brand voltage control....my ddpai auto shutdown actually work well. whistling.gif
