For me, after Mate 20x, newer Huawei phone no longer provide any GMS, I will look into Apple ecosystem.

Yes, to me other android phones are now not so good if compared to Huawei. Android I will only go for Huawei and iOS definitely Apple. If this year(considering Huawei did not get GMS), and once 5G launches in Malaysia next year or 2023, Apple will be my choice.

Oct2020 is the last patch for Mate 20, right?

For the LYN delay, it's due to the heavy ads. Got people open a thread on helpdesk about it. And se7en is looking into it.

Yes bro.

No wonder. I thought my phone is having issue but never have issue on other page. Looks like I trust LYN more than my own phone. Lol

Hi all sifus,

Is there a way to flip cameras while recording videos?

Other than using third party apps.

Thanks!

Early of Feb you said would jump them so fast really jumped to Apple. Good... So far still no other phone screen as big as Mate20x. If no choice, Apple which at least can last longer than Android.

Yes. I made a quick decision, considering that US will not lifted the ban on Huawei although under Biden administration. Even if they did, Huawei may use their operating system (HongMeng OS), so it's not very good news!

I made a jump. After few days using it, i found iOS is a good replacement for Huawei, seriously! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

I started using first Apple product last year which Ipad Air 4. Yes IOS very easy to use after few round of browsing around as compare to Android. Only thing is most good apps need to pay lol.... Anyway I think I can adapt to IOS system in long term.

Agreed bro! Many apps that you really need to pay, but they really sell good apps, if you don't mind paying smile.gif

Overall, for me I am a happy user.

If Huawei come back strongly with Google, I will strongly consider again

Hi all,

Got a unit of mate 20. Only 1 year 1 month using and the battery started swelling already. And the swelling got worse today and the back casing already popped open. Battery capacity is still good. The phone is still under extended warranty (2 years) but it is a SG unit (bought in Singapore). Does anyone know whether I can claim warranty for SG unit in Malaysia? If not possible, is it eligible for the RM99 battery replacement program?

Thanks all in advance!

It depends in SG, if it was international warranty or local warranty.

Maybe you should call and validate on battery replacement program

https://consumer.huawei.com/my/support/battery-service/

BTW, do you plug the phone often into the high speed charger, or use while charging?

I see. Thank you very much. In the support app, it says country/ region = Singapore. Does it mean that it is SG only warranty? The phone uses its provided fast charger all the time. Never charge via PC, never charge via other charger. And seldom use phone when charging.

must be unlucky then, hardly battery would swell unless extra heat induced. How about while driving your car? Many place it at windscreen, which is direct to heat, I do normally push my aircon vent towards the phone to cool down.

Im not too sure of the warranty, bro. Better get the battery changed fast, its not gonna be too expensive.
