There will always be good movies n crappy movies made in any film producing countries. Sure the malaysian movie production budget could be bigger but is it being used effectively. For me the most important thing that our film industry has failed to achieve is international recognition. I am not talking about winning foerign film festivals or the oscars but to enter the international culture. For example, indon has its the raid etc, thailand has its tony jaa , china has donnie yen etc. That only from martial arts movie perspective.
