Picking up the PS3 version of DiRT? It's ready to rumble



John Yan recently took the time to tour the booths at E3 and came away with his impressions for a few games, but one bit near the end caught our attention above all else. He saw the PS3 version of Colin McRae's DiRT and claimed it looked more refined than the 360 and PC counterparts. We're not worried about the graphics and all that, though. There was something else that piqued our interest.

There was a rumble option in the game's options screen. John asked the folks showcasing the game if the rumble feature would exist in the final product for the PS3 and they answered yes. DiRT is prepared to take advantage of the new rumble feature coming to the Sixaxis controller in a matter of months.

Isn't that exciting? The controller isn't out yet, but game developers are already prepared to offer the feature in their games. It's great news for all of us, especially those who really need to feel some vibrations in their hands. You know who you are!

I've played DIRT on X360 (with rumble of course) and I would say this game is awesome. So, I would suggest to you guys to buy this game when it's release for PS3.

i stinge even on rm50.. i got my ninja at 2nd hand price jus because i think rm215 is still abit too exp.. why get it exp whn u can get it cheaper and still hv the same quality. other thn jus unwarrping the contents. i think most ps3 gamers really take care of their BD..

regarding the rumble, can we buy the adaptor and use dualshock2 to play ps3 games and get force feedback? i've read GTHD supports force feedback wheels but not sure about dualshock2.

im still looking for the adapter.... someof them try out liao, the control works, but im not sure it works on ps3 games or not, but the ps2 rumbling will work

You can use DualShock2 with rumble only to play PS2 games. I tried with Gran Turismo 3 before, and rumble is there. But, you need the adapter.

I got Blackhorn PS2 wireless controller that comes with the adaptor and it around RM50 (I got it for free when bought my PS3). So I think the adaptor is not that expensive. Should be around RM20.
