As far as my experience tells me...there is no console that cannot be modded. Just look at the PS2...no matter how sony try to stop it, there is always a way to bypass the security. Hackers man

And btw, how expensive can the XBOX360 get? RM1500? As long as the games is cheap, everything else don't really matter.

You think SONY is so stupid?They have been in console industry for quite a long time and I bet you this time SONY will win. PS3 is hackerproof..even the great Dark Alex has quit the PSP scene (great move SONY for paying him lots of money) .... PS2 is a different kind of story, it was so easy to hack because it was using onboard BIOS. This time around PS3 is using firmwares for updates and they have all the holes covered. Where the heck the ISO Loader promised by PARADOX.... they are really upset when the emotion engine was stripped off from PS3 PAL. The EE engine was the key of the Loader. So you think those europeans want to release the loader that will only benefit the americans and asians and you think they're too generous....again I

Who don't know me, a great supporter for Capt Jack Sparrow all this time but hey why the heck did I buy a PS3? I know that I will end up playing original games with PS3...Like I said SONY wins. So keep on dreaming dude...

He never understand lar, to setup a BD press factory, you need SONY approval and you have to fork out 4x more the cost of setting up new a DVD pressing plant...SONY will never simply give BD license to anyone.

About the Pirated PS3 games issue...

Personally, I think we are not there yet as BD Disc a way to expensive to produce...The writer alone cost a bomb...and don't start talking about BD-R. Furthermore...a single 2nd generation onwards game can easily be 15GB and upwards...and I believe MGS4 will be a BD-50 disc....So an ISO loader should they come up sith one...will again be prohibitively expensive..to download (will take a long time) to your HDD...and as PS3 HDD is only 60GB...everybody will have to upgrade their hdd...which in turn cost them money...

I guess it isn't the time yet...not till HDD is cheap enough and Broadband is fast enough.

Yeap..heard that M'soft is going with a new 360 cpu codename "Falcon" coming this fall. A 60nm process. Intriguing is that they'll come with a new redesign motherboard and hence i bet a new security features.

Unlike M'soft, Sony are also in the movie and music business. They are in it with a commitment. Hence the 80Gb version. They're are preparing for downloaded music and movie services, probably tentatively announced during E3 but not revealed due to Sony Japan completing all the features. As such it would make sense that they'll try to protect their ip's. The same goes for the rumored PSP. New security features for downloading services.

With Afta and other agreements between governments it's probably gonna be a little bit harder for us to go to Sparrow way in the future. Everywhere piracy enforcement is gaining momentum like Nintendo whose doing their bit in China and Korea. Come over here in KL and you'll know what we meant.

Yeap...that's what u'll get with a low cost product. A bunch of ROD's. Aku kena, tot kena and a bunch others. Make me wonders what would be the actual price if the 360's are made with quality components....and that doesn't include the Wifi and Blu-rays.

that's a good reason so that all the psp-sceners won't get mad at him. Logically thinking, if someone got harass with Sony, he will surely go underground and continue doing the hacking job. Sony was so brilliant, instead of harassing him better pay him a good lump sum of money so that he will leave for good.

To make all the fans happy just create a story saying that Sony harassed him and quits so that ppl will get mad with Sony but what can those mad ppl do...just going mad...
