Aquaculture is a good course there i would say.. they have much facilities on this particular course. If i am not mistaken, they have collaboration with other university such as Japan. not very sure.. but definitely i know there are many fish breeding there happening..

Yep no swimming pool, i think their swimming team went to stadium likas to practice.. quite near.. =)

The course is ok i think.. got some friends in it.. and they are enjoying it. just bare in mind the maths is very complicated maths, cause you are learning the theory behind it.. but the good thing about this course is that its econs based.. means u can work in bank later.. hehe.. =)

I got Software Engineering, is it good? I heard that it's the only course in the engineering school that is 3 years course, others are 4 years. So, does it count as professional course?

I got Computer Engineering in UMS. What language did they use?

Good future, no doubt about it. I believe in software engineering, you get the degree is not enough. You must go and get those professional certs, to make ur value higher. The more computer language you know, the more valuable you are and etc. But it's one of the toughest course in the SKTM (Sekolah Kejuruteraan dan teknologi maklumat). hahaha..

Not sure what languages they use. But i think those basic like C and C++ and etc they got learn

i got international marketing at ums as well...i wonder what language they use..anyone can tell me??n this course is my second choice..anyone noe any method so that i can appeal to get my first choice which is in UNIMAS?

english.. no problem.. only those courses like TITAS would be conducted in BM.

International Marketing is one of the courses with leng chai and leng luiz.. haha..
erm.. its kinda difficult.. but my friend did able to change uni later on. from Sabah to Pahang. but wasted the first year. you may ask the office later. as usual, u must get approval from UNIMAS first..if there is any vacancy..

Hey! I want to ask about changing course in UMS. I'm interested in studying in food science but unfortunately I get the other offered, HG36 - PENGELUARAN TERNAKAN. I really have no idea what course is this. My cGPA is very low, it is only 2.58, so I wonder whether high possibility that I can change that course to food science in UMS? This is because I heard that you need quite high cGPA to studying food science. What should I do then? Anyone or senior here can give me some advice or anything? Your help is very much appreciated.

Hey Hitsugaya! what's the employment rate of students graduated from UMS? I'm really concern about my future since im not so familiar with this uni

E&E is a good engineering course in UMS. Cause they are very active in participating in national competition such as the SMART CAR competition and also ROBOCON... quite interesting as well. Well, what you prepare? prepare to work hard for the next four years.. and yes, if you get results, no worries many companies will scout you. Your course have several good teachers and in fact in my opinion one of them is damn smart.. prepare to work damn hard.. hahaha..

First you must get to the school, find the dean or the office there, and try to ask for the procedure. Normally, they must have vacancy in the course, then only they can let you in. So, basically you must report at your respective course first, then only try to process it out. You MAY or MAY NOT get what you wants. It all depends on the dean and also the vacancy of the course. It's possible to change, but you need to work for it and keep rushing them, cause normally they are quite busy and they tends to forget, get the respective signature, prepare surat rayuan and etc. I do not know the proper procedure, maybe someone who did this can advice them more. =)

Maybe you can try Food Tech instead if you are ok with it. By the way, i never heard that course before, new course? please check at the university website, and try to read what you are going to study. More like livestock farming to me.. haha.. means like learn how to take care of a farm with chickens, cows, goats, fish and etc...

This is alwiz what i told the undergraduates, when you got a course to study, think of finishing the degree first. Believe me, its not easy to finish a degree with a good results. Think of that first, then you only think of employment. Does not matter what you study, in the end, it may or may not depends on what you are studying. Many of my friends did not take up engineering job after studying engineering. So, study dulu bah bang.

Employment rate is alwiz up to students in the end and not UMS. If your results is good and your soft skills is good, no doubt you will be hired. University plays a very small role in it. Not many companies will look at what universities you are from. I have several friends working with Shell, Petronas and other big company.

So, in universities, besides doing good for your degree, learn how to communicate, how to work in a team, leaderships, all these soft skills will bring you for a better employment rate. I believe getting at least a 2nd upper will be good.

Additional tips, do not worry, engineering is quite easy to find jobs if you do not be choosy. =) all the best.
