QUOTE(YH1234 @ Jun 17 2019, 01:54 PM) i was back from kaohsiung the other day, i manually chk in since there is luggage. the boarding pass left with me is a small piece of paper which is without any barcode. the klia2 aerotel ppl don't accept that piece of paper as they cant scan it, they suggest i use a credit card that don't need boarding pass which i did bring along. Did you clarify which banks are not mandating a boarding pass for entry?....1. i really have do idea until now what sort of boarding pass they talking abt since i just follow the procedure and process accordingly. 2. there are credit card that don't insist of boarding pass hmmm... |

QUOTE(Angelpoli @ Jun 19 2019, 03:06 AM) QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Jun 19 2019, 07:35 AM) This is one of the options for the 3 lounges in klia2, ie gateway, aerotel and wellness spa..... available to all cards accepted into these lounges.....The bank just get an invoice for entry by customer.... What the customer gets is chosen by him/her.....3hrs lounge or 1hr room.....I asked if can bring food to room (!)..... reception girl says "don't know"..... I hr room is quite useless lah.....it's basically just a shower.... |

In order to offer room use as alternative, the ppl must also have a "hotel" facility....the 2 obvious ones are gateway and aerotel.....and wellness spa I think has some rooms inside....
None of the other ppls have that.....outside Msia, Changi also has an aerotel.....but it's in a separated location from ppl.... |

QUOTE(mavistan89 @ Jun 25 2019, 07:39 PM) Very confusing, I called to CIMB customer service just now, they said supp cardholder must be preferred member to enjoy free entry. But the branch manager (I think he is quite high position in the bank) told me cannot. Anyone can confirm this? QUOTE(zenquix @ Jun 25 2019, 10:58 PM) the only supp card i heard before is Ambank. CIMB was always principal only. Although since you mention wife also preferred, why dont she get her own card? I think that is correct, the eligibility is being preferred member, not the card....so a preferred member can enter, either as principal or supp.....The other bank cc allowing supps to enter is rhb..... QUOTE(charlesj @ Jun 26 2019, 10:58 AM) No, I would say PP and LK is almost equivalent, if you have same/similar benefit given by your CC. Lk is simply the bank card based equivalent of pp.....Plat Amex - PP with unlimited access x2 membership Citi Prestige - PP with unlimited access SC P VI - LK with unlimited access SC VI - LK with 2 access only HLB EK - LK with 1 access only HSBC Premier Travel - LK with 12 access only (Now no longer under LK program but PPL program) Pp is an open subscription based system with a very large varied panel of lounges.....from 3rd party to airlines lounges....cc with pp just means the bank buys a pp membership on your behalf..... membership is open to anyone as long as you pay the subscription....and you get a separate pp card.... Pp then innovated lk as a parallel program linked to cc....no separate card is provided, and it's subscribed only through banks.... basically like the ppl system..... |

The ruling against using multiple eligible cards from the same bank at the same time comes originally from ambank.....but both the front desk staffs at ppls and we users seem to have extrapolated that rule to other banks ...
Asking the front desk also sometimes give different advices....eg, one lounge says cannot use 2 rhb cards to enter, another lounge says ok..... And am not aware of such restrictions by Maybank.... |
