A50 1199 for the specs is impressive from Samsung, they are stepping up their game in every segment from M series to Note series this year, hope Note 10 will have a good price too. The only disadvantages of A50 compared to A7 I think is the IP68 and NFC which gives you Samsung Pay feature. However, how can you expect much from a 1k phone? Super Amoled, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor and an above average camera. Even the Exynos 9610 is better performance than Snapdragon 660 except for gaming.

Since A30 is 799, I assume that M20 will be around 699, it cant be more expensive than A30.

If I'm not mistake a50 n a30 both have ip68, just no nfc

I see, it will be perfect if they both have IP68 which no other midrange phone can do it at that price.

I'm looking to add this M20 to my collection of M1, M2 etc. Agree with you that RM699 for a 4GB RAM model would be an acceptable price.

Speaking of this battery life. I thought this M20 was better during some of the battery review made by people on the internet.

I'm not convinced on two fronts - one being the UI, whether or not it consumes less juice than stock Android and second if the Exynos is more power efficient than the SD.

The a30 and a50 seem like pretty good buys. Wouldve gone for em if it had samsung pay which unfortunately it does not.

Why is A30 is so cheap. Compared to 2018 A7.

Doubt there's many of those buyers anyway. Usually buyers going for midrange devices will tend to lean towards Xiaomi..

Those are premium price to pay for it.

Bought the A50 last saturday, so far quite satisfy with the experience (considering the price)...the display is comparable with my S8+ when put on side by side

I preordered an A30 a few days back on Senheng.

On my brief usage of the A50...the UI interaction is smooth enough compare to my S8+ (sometimes the ONE UI on my S8+ feels sluggish than the A50 somehow...but maybe due to my heavy usage on S8+) and I get around 2.5 - 3GB free space on RAM most of the time. I've not yet tried any gaming on A50 yet so can't comment on the gaming performance.

About the phone being laggy, I haven't encounter it yet,but it could be also due to my light usage but I do think the 6GB RAM does help in a certain extend as my S8+ (my primary device) only have 4GB where switching apps needs to reload while the A50 keeps more apps running on the background...and i didn't notice significant drop of frame rate on the UI animation

As a Samsung phone at this price range, I think it's performance are quite ok...there are give and take. Just my opinion, not a professional reviewer

Hardly surprising that, but every other brand is bringing up the prices of their flagships, including Huawei. So far I think only Mi has kept the prices of their flagships down, even OnePlus seems to be going up and up.

Anybody remember which Samsung phone that is less than 1.5k and have ip68 ratings? It's not S or Note series.
