In order to gain market share, it's a smart strategy to target high population country.
Since Samsung lost in China, it makes sense for them to divert their attention at other regions.

It's always political motivated.

China-South Korea have tension. The Chinese are not boycotting Korea products and do not want to visit South Korea anymore.
India-China also have tension especially at the Kashmir border. Both are racing to dominate as the Asian superpower.

Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and Xiao Mi have successfully outcast Samsung and Apple out from China.

I think they are not there yet when it comes to competing toe-to-toe with the Chinese. Especially on the bang-for-buck department.

It's too be expected for a midrange phone I guess, but ya, I think Xiaomi is probably more bang for buck.

Name and after sale service. My experience with samsung service center have been wonderful. Last time i claim screen crack warranty, they change my phone battery for free too all in less than half day.

first impressions  during unbox... cheapo paper box even my son Leeco phone box better quality than this....
i dont really like Samsung gesture without the navigation bar, because already used to poco f1 and huawei style....
screen not Amoled but is PLS, color quite sharp.
this phone does not have raise to awake or double tap to turn on the screen, so need to press power button to use face id to unlock or use the finger print sensor...

Collected the pre-ordered A30 at Senheng yesterday, after redeeming points and whatnot, nett price is RM653.

The free gift Samsung MicroSD is the 100mb/s one, nice.

The phone came applied with screen protector, and there's a white transparent TPU case included in the box.

Minimal bloatware in the phone, and most of them, can be disabled if not uninstalled by the user.

A quick check of the rear camera, quality below average, can't even select resolution for photo quality.

Screen, battery endurance, One UI are all awesome.

Nope, I don't blame Sammy on this, the phone is for my parent, mostly for social media, web browsing and media consumption.

At this price point, full HD AMOLED screen, USB Type-C, fast charging, big battery, 4GB+64GB+MicroSd support, OneUI are enough selling points for me.

And South Koreans are less likely to spy on you than a certain communist regime.

Btw, what's the point of M20 really?
At same price with A30, it has no AMOLED screen, no Pie 9 OneUI, only a bigger battery.
