QUOTE(kabuto12 @ Mar 5 2020, 05:57 PM) Thanks. Interm of internet quality, which one is better? Unifi air or mobile? It's extremely hard to tell except to test it yourself, because mobile network may be different for each location. For my area, Unifi Air has better speed from morning to afternoon, congestion at night rather bad. Whereas Unifi Mobile also has congestion but everything seems to be still running smooth. Hence, I use Unifi Mobile BEBAS currently. It may be different for your location. So, if you wish to try unifi air, you had better take the SIM only since it does NOT has any contract. But, need to pay RM100 advance payment.

QUOTE(Thumpy Ick @ Mar 13 2020, 03:52 PM) hello guys, may i know if unifi mobile offer Daily internet plans, and if so does it allow hotspot/tethering? Unifi Mobile Bebas has three (3) unlimited data add on. 1) RM1 for 2 hour. 2) RM3 for 24 hours. 3) RM20 for 7 days. All comes with unlimited tethering with capped speed at 8mbps, depends on location and congestion.

QUOTE(kabuto12 @ Mar 14 2020, 09:48 AM) Went to unifi store. They said unifi air using different band. Checked inside their website, seem like coverage for unifi air is limited compared to unifi mobile TM point CS told if your area has unifi mobile coverage, you'll be able to use unifi air too. I was using unifi air for 2 weeks, on Feb 2020, but terminated due to badly congested at night time. Unifi Air is using LTE band 5 in my area. It's actually using the same LTE band as unifi mobile.

QUOTE(kiritoffx @ Mar 18 2020, 12:52 PM) unifi air dont have contract? how u terminate if there is contract? my area only band 5, can subs to unifi air? 1) SIM only has no contract. 2) SIM with device has 24 months contact. I took the SIM only for testing and need to pay RM100 advancement, but it turned out very congested at night time. I would never take the modem, because you still need to return the modem IN WORKING CONDITION after 24 months. It's basically just FREE RENTAL. My area only has LTE band 5 too. You may try to subscribe unifi air SIM only for testing. This post has been edited by ckimsem: Mar 18 2020, 12:23 PM

QUOTE(kiritoffx @ Mar 18 2020, 05:55 PM) if i take sims only, can i put on my smartphone and hotspot? if decide to cancel like congestion reason or slow speed, i can direct cancel or need to wait a months? Yes, you can put it in smartphone provided your phone support LTE band 5. You can cancel it through mobilecare app live chat, but you'll have to wait around 90 days to get the balance of your advance payment according to what CS told me. FYI, Tenda 4G 680 (RM260+), or D-Link DWA-953 (RM380+) could be used just in case you need a 4G modem. I used unifi air for around 3 weeks, and I still have RM30 balance after the last bill, but haven't get it back yet. This post has been edited by ckimsem: Mar 18 2020, 10:01 PM

QUOTE(Gebs @ Mar 19 2020, 12:07 PM) Huawei nova 3i. Looks like its running on 4G+ network. Correct me if I'm wrong. Your area has LTE band 38 or 40, or both in addition to LTE band 5. So, you'll get 4G+, unless your phone is bugged, JK . BTW, thanks for sharing RM0/weekly. This post has been edited by ckimsem: Mar 19 2020, 11:36 AM

Everyone has returned home, it seems Unifi Mobile BEBAS is also getting congested with a rather SLOW speed to 1-4mbps. Unifi Mobile users are growing rapidly, wonder if it could cope with its network.

QUOTE(#Victor @ Mar 23 2020, 11:41 AM) does BEBAS Weekly pass allow to hotspot (the free pass)? seems like after hotspot Internet not usable Yes, it allows hotspot. "Internet not usable" is because of too many users, which your area has network congestion. Just like my area, very slow at around 1-3mbps DL and 3-5mbps UL. Anything that's FREE, it's perceived as NO GOOD. P.S. I'm not saying unifi mobile bebas is not good, just that when Unifi Mobile gives out FREE unlimited data, many people will be using it at the promo time. It's in fact quite stable in my area. QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 30 2020, 01:55 AM) I wonder buying the rm0 bebas weekly sub would extend validity by 90 days too, if so will do that to all my 10+ sims. Any usage will extend the validity to 90 days. I believe buying alone will NOT do, you'll still need to do some browsing, simply open a few webpages.

QUOTE(Alpha_Tay @ Mar 30 2020, 01:43 PM) unifi mobile free 5 sim card with RM50 top-up to Purchase 4GB LTE/4GB 3G Data close to P1 WiMAX upgraded to Webe Tower with Fibre Backhaul connected at LTE Band 40 Tested at the same times before 11AM after RM0 BEBAS Weekly expire, Speed Test 80Mbps Download, <5Mbps Upload. purchase RM0 BEBAS Weekly again, Speed Test <10Mbps Download, <5Mbps Upload. It has been said many times. All unlimited data add-ons are capped speed at 8mbps. DISREGARD what Unifi Mobile CS says, cause they will KEEP TELLING you unlimited data does NOT capped speed. The expensive data is truly HIGH SPEED data, depends on area. This post has been edited by ckimsem: Mar 30 2020, 02:16 PM

QUOTE(@POTUS @ Mar 31 2020, 06:20 AM) How about those postpaid unlimited? I'm sorry idk, I haven't used any of its postpaid b4 because it doesn't have unlimited tethering. For RM99, I had better go for U Mobile GX68. This post has been edited by ckimsem: Mar 31 2020, 07:20 AM

QUOTE(MNF0 @ Mar 31 2020, 11:47 AM) How much is the hotspot quota? I said “had better”, I neither use Unifi Mobile POSTPAID nor U Mobile. So, I can’t solve your queries. I’m using Unifi Mobile PREPAID, its weekly unlimited data also allows unlimited TETHERING, although with capped speed at 8mbps.

QUOTE(MNF0 @ Apr 2 2020, 12:17 PM) I see. So basically our JASA is just a stupid bplan then. I thought there's no speed limit applied. Btw, where did you get the confirmation from bro? From experience, I don't think you may get TnC for that. Just like unifi mobile Bebas, their CS will keep saying its speed is NOT capped.

QUOTE(@skyhawk@ @ Apr 3 2020, 02:04 PM) u sure? asked Tenda lazada, 2 times they said cannot use unifi mobile simcard.. haizz.. if can use, the telephone line working to make a call? You need to check the modem has LTE band 5. Yes, Tenda 4G680 can be used with unifi mobile bebas. You can connect an RJ11 phone to the modem to make phone call. My cousin is using it. Alternative choice: (1) D-Link DWA-953, (2) Huawei B525s-65a, (3) Huawei B618s-65d This post has been edited by ckimsem: Apr 3 2020, 01:47 PM

QUOTE(judehow @ Apr 5 2020, 12:07 PM) I am waiting for sim card I hear alot bad issue like lag , spend not sufficient for data. I hope I will not in same boat . As long I never abuse the data and network You'll get free 30 days unlimited data for NEW SIM. It's capped speed at 8mbps. The free 3gb 4G data is high speed data, but you'll need to wait till the free 30 days expired.

QUOTE(lowyat101 @ Apr 7 2020, 09:03 AM) Ya correct. But how about the current weekly free data? By using it, is it also able to extend the validity by another 90 days? Any usage will extend the validity to 90 days, be it call, SMS, or data like simply open a webpages. So, your # is now extended to 90 days from the last day usage. QUOTE(judehow @ Apr 7 2020, 05:58 PM) I just got my sim card is there any time period to activate it and can port in next month ? I am porting from another telco to unifi mobile rm 59.00 Is that postpaid 99 for RM59? If yes, it has a 12 months contract. How could you port out NEXT month?
If you chose the bottom one, it has only 10gb quota with NO contract. This post has been edited by ckimsem: Apr 7 2020, 05:45 PM
