But does that mean I have to use VOLTE or as long as I am connected to band 5/38/40 it will works even if the person I'm calling does not have volte?
*
VoLTE is a complex tech.

In a simple understanding, both parties must be connecting to VoLTE protocol. But, the quality of VoLTE may varies (this is the complex part...)

How do you identify which bands your phone support. For example mine was an old asus x013d/zb551kl.
*
Go to official manufacturer website...if not available, have to email or chat support...

May try other sources (not reliable sometimes) like below:
frequencycheck.com

to be honest, i havent tested unifi air yet, as for unifi mobile, the highest i'm getting around 32.8Mbps, thus i believe there's no speed cap for unifi mobile
*
Don't use SpeedTest... Use "fast.com" using mobile browser .....

subscribed to unifi 59 yesterday. tried it. even worse than my previous gx50. damn regret for subscribing it. Is there anything that i can do to cancel the 1 year contract?

Attached the speedtest.
*
We don't think the speed is like that all the time... Please try at different location and different time-frame of the day to evaluate the speed... But if all locations and time-frames exhibit the same result, then, we have no choice but to continue using the plan for 12 months and just get another SIM from other telco as backup for high speed data for "as and when needed" scenario... This will definitely resulting more commitment but we may go for weekly or daily data quota from prepaid plan so that when the UniFi 59 is down or too slow, just buy other telco's daily/weekly data quota to "compensate" the terrible speed of UniFi 59...

In directly, UniFi is "helping" sales for other telco(s) because of their "cruel" 12 months contract... (it should be 3 months FMPOV)... Subscribers who is tied to this contract will have no choice but to continue the plan and get another SIM from other telco(s) to compensate their own weaknesses...

And definitely, after this 12 months contract is over, we will blacklist UniFi forever...so, UniFi is digging their own grave if the quality of service never improve...

Now my question is, my S10+ is VoLTE support. I put in Umobile and Digi sim card. It's show VoLTE. But when I put my Unifi sim card, it doesn't show VoLTE. Who can answer me this kind of technical problem?

Please stop using speedtest.net platform... It's not the "effective" speed... Use fast.com in the Safari/web browser...

All this talk about Celcom sharing their 4G spectrum with Unifi, I've actually yet to see Unifi users using Unifi on  LTE Bands 7 or 3.  If any of you see Unifi on LTE B7 or B3 please do a screenshot and post it here
*
So far, along North-South Highway, UniFi #BEBAS only connects to Celcom HSDPA protocol...

While my XOX line constantly connects to 4G/4G+ even though speeding at 120 km/hr...LOL...no buffering streaming vix...

UniFi 4G/4G+ is non-existance along North-South Highway except R&R...Thus, this indicates that UniFi does not have strong Celcom handshake for LTE "yet"... They still clinging to Band 5, 38 & 40...

It's ok, as long as HSDPA Celcom can work, then it's ok ma smile.gif

But capped at 5GB/month...
Attached Image

Until they can handshake with Celcom 4G LTE, the 5GB capped is there for riding on Celcom's HSDPA spectrum...

What happen if your Band 5 phone cannot connect to Band 5 tower because the tower does not emit Band 5, 38 & 40?

Celcom tower will detect whether it's band 5 phone or not since they have an agreement smile.gif

Then, if Band 5 phone connect to Celcom tower, then the Band 5 phone will connect to which Band?

According to sources is 2100Mhz band
*
And this is not 850MHz (ie. Band 5). So, the 5GB capped is there whenever any phone in this planet connect to Celcom tower.

The tower is more important than the phone bands...

Actually, using the term "Celcom tower" is not accurate... Just to let you know...

Just disable Band 5, 38 & 40 so that the so-called "Band 5 phone" to constantly connect to Celcom's 2100MHz...

After the Celcom's 5GB quota exhausted, no more data available... Not even 64kbps which most other telcos are offering...

So, if we are in very poor Band 5, 38 & 40 zone, clinging to Celcom's 5GB/month quota @ HSDPA spectrum is "paranoid-ing"...

it says 5GB capped only if u using non band 5 device. that is clear... if u use band 5 device but keep using 3G then the capped is not apply to u
*
So, Celcom 3G also unlimited if using Band 5 phone?

Care to explain to the public "Whichever how "u" (aka the Band 5 phone) is connected"

Seems like there are some uncertainties when there is no unifi LTE coverage and to connect to Celcom 3G as alternative to fallback to.

I think I will keep an eye again before I reconsider.
