No doubt about Maxis's infamous "hidden" agendas...

But I've already bought and activated DUMMY starter pack to evaluate its hidden agenda. Need to sacrifice :

RM10 = starter pack
RM35 = Topup (excluding cashbacks from e-Wallet).

If for this 1st one month testing the assessment is up to my expectations, will MNP my PRIMARY line (ie UMobile Postpaid GX58) for sure...

They amend T&C, we MNP loorrrhhhh... No contract FTW.

But Maxis/Hotlink/Ookyo is infamous for "Hidden" agenda when trying to MNP... so, do our homework before commit...later after 30 days, I will try to MNP to see can do or not...if they say cannot and must stay with Hotlink for 3 months or bla-bla-bla... then, my blasklist/ban to Maxis/Hotlink/Ookyo continues....That's why I buy DUMMY SIM starter pack to cuba-tengok-try-test...LOL...

May be true... So long term experience will varies... But at least we can always MNP if really cannot "tahan" ... But RM59/month with 12-month contract is very risky moves...

So far, my UMobile GX58 is within my expectations after 2 years subscribed starting from GX30, GX50 and now GX58. It's long-term "enuff" for my case. So, I should not be hunting for better options, right? Oh well, opportunity should not be missed and doing our own homework before any long-term commitment is vital...

Only those abuse the HUP35/45 will be throttled. Those playing by the rules is not affected.

Yeah. Within these 6 months just use it as usual. Have you tried to lock the phone to 4G LTE band? Any improvements?

Just to share that the 4G LTE is better than 3G HSDPA in terms of reliability. So, that's why we encourage the phone to always lock at 4G LTE band(s). I think there is nothing wrong with the coverage/cell towers in that area. We just need to lock the line to 4G LTE constantly if possible.

That's their part... we have to do our part as well to solve the problem. So, try lock the phone signal to 4G LTE and see the outcome...

So what will be the resolution while we the customers keep on paying monthly non-stop?

Is it :
1) "buat-buat tak tahu" attitude?
2) In-progress claims?
3) We are looking at it?
4) We have more important priority excuse?
5) Let the customers figure out themselves?
6) Wait for customers to open court case?
7) No solution.

That was action no. 5 = Let the customers figure out themselves.

Hence, UniFi Mobile has lost one trust from their database which can lead to another lost of trust if no actions taken to any issues faced by customer(s).

Lock the Band when we know how to manually open it back is OK... but we are constantly moving around and about... Once touching HSDPA tower, totally "airplane" mode becoz "INTENTIONALLY" lock to Band 38/40.

If just to check the DL/UL speed, it's OK. But when "constantly" moving around and about, locking the Band is not my style...

Anyway, the nearest cell tower at home emits the following during NON-PEAK hours from Shah Alam to Las Vegas:

#BEBAS Band 5 #BEBAS Band 38 #BEBAS Band 40

Me suggesting locking to Band 5 first...test all over the places... if the Sammy A30s can sustain 4G LTE connection all the time, then, we don't need the Celcom 3G anymore... by right UniFi Mobile (UF) Band 5 is the optimum spectrum for stability and reliability, but not great download speed like for Band 38/40... The A30s supports Band 38/40 too... but just test Band 5 first to try-cuba-tengok-test its stability and reliability... Band 38/40 reliability is not as great as Band 5...

One other thing to test further is to check whether we can make an outgoing call/SMS AFTER locking to Band 5... can we perform outgoing call/SMS AFTER locking to Band 5 all the time?

Very good... Since U edy knew how to reset, so now test again but only allow "LTE" (in the "Band Selection" menu) and allow only "Band 5" (in the "Band Disable Setting")... What's the speedtest result now...?
