Why there is no currency conversion for today? Means convert and ready to buy stock, no update for today. The deposit accumulated from Wed to today and no update.

I did via jompay every morning 8am plus and never failed, this is 1st time i encounter such issue. The last conversion date is my Tuesday morning deposit.

Due to the depreciation of MYR vs USD, hesitate whether to continue put in more money.

The gain from fund may not be able to offset the strength of MYR in future.

Currently it stands at 4.18, if it drops from 4.18 to 4.00, fx lost alr 4.30%

Start from small amt. It may be a deep learning curve for you if u do not hv any financial background.

Since StachAway is mainly focus on US mkt instrument, their operating day should follow US and not Malaysia.

When USA holiday, you can transfer money but you can't buy.
When Malaysia holiday, you can't transfer money and u can't buy also.

Means we Malaysian are observing USA and Malaysia holiday, very troublesome.

Stashaway replied me that their system had error on last friday, therefore no conversion and buy order for Wed deposit.

The effect did not stop there, my last friday deposit should convert and buy yesterday(Thu) but did not happene due to the last friday system glitch and my last friday deposit did not reach on time.

A bit disappointed with a high-tech company.

The worst part is, it skip buying the day that fall, and the accumulated backlog fund flush out to buy on the rebound day.

It indirectly made me buy high, although in long term the effect is small but made me lose confidence.

For Malaysia situation:

Deposit on early morning of the day:
Mon - Buy on Wed night (US wed)
Tue - Buy on Thu night
Wed -Buy on Fri night
Thu - Buy on Mon night
Fri - Buy on Tue night

This week Mon and Wed is public holiday, so last friday deposit should buy Thu.

Besides the system glitch, i hope that they can write out the rest day (US and Malaysia) and fund transfer cut-off time in black and white. Even we experienced user also need to guess.

The transfer time taken seems speed up.

Yesterday morning 8.05am transfer, it was converted today and buy tonight US mkt. For my pass experience, usually will only convert and buy on Thursday.

It is MY.

As i said, i really can't catch their cut-off timing, i did transfer everyday at 8am plus just to test their "SOP".

Me too, no acknowledgement for my 8am jompay yesterday, usually will acknowledge on 5.30pm same day.

Really puzzling over this, thought that all these should be done by system automatically.

I think they really need a SOP.

What we want is fixed cut-off time, and fixed investment time, we don't want to play guessing game. Actually this is a very basic thing but they just couldn't make it.

I hv the difficulty to count the % of return.

Is this as simple as ''net return/net deposit'' to get the return %? I use this method but cant match what stashaway show.

stashaway lacks consistency or SOP, even the small matters, always leave ppl guessing. This need improvement urgently, if stashaway is a bank and run in this way, do u still have confidence?

Yeah, the 0.1% for in and out flow of fund shouldn't be ignored.

But i did a rough calculation, still the MyTheo more expensive, especially the longer you hold, the more expensive

For performance side, i am not sure but the equity exposure seems very wide, not US focus only.

After read through the whitepaper on website, i like their SOP clearly stated and promise the fund deposit before 12pm will be bought on same day. And the deposit is by FPX which link from Mytheo website, so that Mytheo can captured and update the deposit immediately.

And It also explain the gap of buy sell spread which i hv doubt in Stashaway.

Basically i like their transparency, and a good SOP. Stashaway is more like amateur in execution. Maybe Mytheo is back by the silverlake group who mainly provides software and service to banks.
