In light of recent rally, I feel like lowering the risk index ady, coz beyond 18% risk index the predicted returns macam don't go up as much as 10~18.

What do you guys think?

It is sort of timing the market though. But it also a good option , I am just reducing my deposit amount and frequency , taking profit is never wrong though

It is, but stashaway it just one of the components in my portfolio - I am still very heavy on crypto and Singapore equities, which both plummeted a lot in 2018.

Yea feels like taking profit, but maintain DCA.

How much is the projection in 18? One thing they don't give us details in p.a form.

I maybe will wait after the trade talk. Coming weeks.

I also lowered mine back down to the bond heavy 6.5

Switched it last night. not in system yet though.

Gained 1+% last week when I went 6.5 -> 36, so I have no complains lol

BTW this is run in a $0/mth portfolio, so they just use a default $1000/mth deposit to draw the projections for 30 years.

Notice that the projected return average line doesn't go up as much after 18%, and I don't have very good feeling bout this rally lah, maybe I am a bear inside (didn't study in bukit beruang campus though).

The 6.5 portfolio also rally damn hard, someone here saying they hit -6% with a 6.5% portfolio in 4Q18, that's very close to invalidating StashAway's model.

Hi all,
I tried 6.5%, 18% and 20%
The projection amount seem to be higher on the lower risk

Does anyone know how do they calculate the amount?

anyhow, i'm still at 36% but will not be doing monthly deposit for a while. keep some bullets for down trend.
but i feel that down trend will not start until after August. just a feeling

What the top post mentioned against almost all the mainstream media reporting.

Maybe he's worried too much.

In the end he also mentioned he holding 60 bond 40 stock.

Not to mention 40 stock is still quite high based on his view. I would expect he hold 90 bond.

After creating a watchlist on my 3 risk port.

I noticed 1 thing.

When high risk rally.

My 6.5 will down. All bond will down.

When my bond up. Most eq will down.

Lol meaning can't have both world together.

Bond and equity normally won't run in the same direction.

That's why got both to cancel each other out. 90% bond 10% stock allocation will also throw things out of balance.
