Apart from KWEB fiasco... yeah it's a broad market downturn, there is no use bashing stashaway for now.

all classes have been affected, so now, the question to ask is, have SA managing the risk/downside better than benchmark/competitors?

Just curious, but how did you get selected for their survey and what happens during the survey?
*
not sure how did they select, maybe random? or maybe to some of the early adopters? I'm not too sure.

but it was a 30 mins survey via zoom, it covers survey on interface, choosing of asset classes, hypothetical questions about some future uncertainties and macroeconomics data, then see how will the user react to it, balancing of portfolio, etc.

ahhh, also comes with a 6 months of fee waiver as well.

it depends... by being tech heavy you run the risk of missing out on gains from other sectors. Ben Felix blew my mind when he shared on youtube that Dominos actually outperformed tech in the last decade

in general, Nasdaq outperform S&P500, in the historically of late right?

seeing your statement, probably you are not ready to invest, maybe just yet...

FD that way >>>

but i would say, just leave it as 250 is not a big number for you right.

use this to build up your discipline in investing on a regular interval.

Not really, I'm splitting to versa and kdi as well. Most is in versa as I've withdraw most from the SA 22% portfolio.  Recently just created flexi portfolio, will slowly put fund into that
*
hmm... for the KDI, do you put your money in Save or Invest?

They are MMF (at least for Versa) vs ETF though, it's different animal to be compared directly.

All in aggressive portfolio. Only emergency fund is in Save.
*
when you put money into aggressive portfolio, it is also likely to yield negative in the short term due to volatility. You ok with that?

Sekali inactivity is actually a bad thing bcoz ppl really left stashaway LOL

They are rolling out more products now. I wrote in their feedback form saying its getting too confusing for first timers, they should put more emphasis on Goal-based investing.
*
Goal-based investing is good for newbie first timers

but the rolling out of newer products are also mainly to cater for some more sophisticated investors and who often knows what they want, but maybe at the same time, don't have the luxury of time or didn't want to DIY themselves.

Stay invested, especially when its > -20%.

If FOMC decides to slow down or stop int rate raising, expect US stocks to moon a bit.

Seems like despair is setting in for equities and cryptos, time to buy more if you have $.
*
yeah.... but don't all in at once la... we never know how low is low.... so stay invested and accumulate over time... smile.gif

still not comparable with other MMF, not to forget that the time they take to do the necessary, buy, liquidate, transfer out, etc.

Having read some posts on the thread.

Realised that some members are really not ready to invest, maybe just yet.

The current downturn is probably global thingy and it is a pathway that probably most (if not all) will need to go through.

I'd say, it is definitely a better time to buy now, compared to those timings when you bought it in the past few months or so.

Suggestion is, ride it out at least, if you are not doing DCA (to buy at cheap/discount) or if you do not need the money, or money that you're able to afford to lose.

Otherwise, FD rates are getting better.

To those still investing into SA: what percentage of your investment bullets are you guys allocating here?

I’ve stopped adding into SA since Jan 2022 and putting half into IBKR ETFs and half into FD
*
Guess your own DIY IBKR ETFs are doing much better? (but also depending on when did you put it into SA for your previous investment).

Returns are similar to mine but don't be fooled by the Time-Weighted Return of around 30% since this is cumulative over the investment period. My actual CAGR is only 5%-6% at the moment for StashAway (SRI36).
*
I'd take the 5-6% annualised return, anytime, in such a bad year considerably.
