May I know roughly how many % of your investment portfolio are you willing to invest in SA?
*
As of now, just a very small portion, but I am topping up in small amounts so it will gradually increase.

There has been a lot of talk of a global recession happening next year. Good testing ground for SA?

You have both Stashaway MY and SG? I am slowly moving some funds into Stashaway, currently my biggest investment vehicle is ASNB.

So SA Simple is like a cash management fund account where you can park your money to earn interest just like a savings account? Means you won’t be losing money right?

I took a look and it seems that interest is around 1.9% pa.

When will SIMPLE come to MY?

And if in USD denominator, we will gain more than 1.9% which is good...
*
No news but I am testing it using SA SG. My only concern is that it will be difficult to liquidate, trying out to see how easy it is to withdraw. If it’s easy I will be parking my money there.

i mean, are there charges like bank fees for direct deposit? e.g. $1 per transaction or anything
*
Yup none that is why people practice dca here as there is no fee for deposit.

Hi, just turned 18 recently which is the legal age to open an account. It is doable for a college student like me to open account with RM500 and then DCA every month with RM100? Or should i just save up my money for future use.

Extra info: PTPTN loan will be covered by parents. Emergency fund for future use has also been prepare. Basically, I wanted to expose myself to investment but has a little knowledge about it only.

Yes it is a good thing to start investing as early as possible to make your money 'work' for you.

I was unlucky to not stumble onto this forum or have someone to teach me during my younger days at your age.

I just tried withdrawing for the first time just to test out how long will it take for the funds to be deposited into my bank account. The process seems pretty straightforward.

10% paper gain after less than 1 year of investment. Pretty good I would say.

The problem with stashaway for me is that they don't allow you to choose which index/fund to invest in. Its actually better if we have the choice to choose because at different periods, some index will be better to invest in than others.
*
Isn't that the whole point of SA? If you want to choose which fund or index to invest in then SA is probably not for you as you will be better off trading stocks or buying funds via FSM.

Don’t invest one month and expect profit to boom. SA takes time, mainly for long term. If you are gunning for short term gain you are better off investing in the stock market.
