QUOTE(lee82gx @ Jun 17 2020, 10:12 AM) Suppose you put in 100 in capital in Wahed. i deposit in both SA and Wahed. Wahed still consistently outperform SA for me.Say you have today RM90 worth in NAV in Wahed due to losses. If you want to breakeven you have to wait for Wahed to rise by RM10. It may take 10days or 1 year or 2 years or forever. In that amount of time, if the RM90 was immediately transferred over to SAMY, how much will it be in 10days, 1 year or 2years (the exact time it requires for Wahed to breakeven, if it does). Conclusion is forget your capital, save your remaining NAV and future value. |

For SA Simple, i have to transfer the money via the normal way, then once the money reaches the account only i request to transfer to Simple? Cause the JomPay code for both are the same.

QUOTE(stormseeker92 @ Jun 24 2020, 10:01 PM) Anyone has any comment if I use SA Simple MY to put some small amount of money is worth it or not? dumping my car service saving funds there. Plus I read the interest is calculated daily, so the interest might probably too small a return for low amount of cash stored. QUOTE(amir.asyraf @ Jun 25 2020, 08:54 AM) Just a little protip: If you ask very nicely, they can unlock the locked Risk Index without you needing to do the SGX quiz. the quiz is quite educational though. good to learn. |

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Jun 25 2020, 10:30 AM) So Simple aim to have multiple goals with no obligation to generate returns at all? simples's funds are tied to fix deposits so there won't be negative losess unless the banks go bankrupt. So investing into Simple with loss or negative return is acceptable? I'm trying to find the rationale for offering such options. |

QUOTE(John91 @ Jul 1 2020, 10:09 AM) Deposited 17th June for Simple. your calculation is wrong eh. if you didn't withdraw your principle your interests will be compounded daily. so assuming 2.03% p.a. effective interest rate is 3.7. much higher than FD since FD is only compounded annually.Till date 0.078% increase (2 weeks). If following layman calculation 52 weeks in a year- 2.028% p.a. But I'm not complaining la since interest is calculated on daily rate, and I'm consolidating my FD's |

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Jul 1 2020, 02:21 PM) from my understanding yes but for high yield saving account you only get to see the money at the end of the month. but for Simple it's credited every other day. you can test for yourself within 1 month with the same amount of principle and see money earned every week is the same or compounded.compounded daily means today's interest calculation will be capital + yesterday interest earned but if calculated daily, credit monthly means for the whole month, the interest calculated based on the capital on 1st of the month. and the next month interest calculation will be inclusive of previous month interest earned + capital (this method is pretty wide use for high yield saving acc) if its compounded daily, i would assume SA will include in their selling point. it is a huge selling point! |

QUOTE(mojo86 @ Jul 10 2020, 02:03 PM) Hi, wanted to ask. Does it show anywhere in the app how much we are charged for the monthly fee? If lets say I have RM100 in my account for 3 months, will they charge 0.8%pa every month? under general transactions.QUOTE(Super_Spammer @ Jul 10 2020, 02:19 PM) Recent re-opt to include KWEB turned out to be quite a good decision. My portfolio may be in deeper red if not for KWEB :-). why bother so much.. deposit money..check MWR everyday 2 pm.. close app..However, just a bit puzzled when it comes to how SA executing the buy order. e.g When the market closed on a high after 4am, the ETFs are bought at the higher price for that day. But when the market dropped, instead of lower price, the buy order is executed with the higher price before market start to drop. Anyone noticed this? I am just curious if this will always be the case whenever we deposit in new fund :-) |
