Not really like that.
My tyres are 235mm. Normal cars is about 165mm. Mine already 50% wider than normal tyres.
Difference is a lot, especially cornering. I can drive close to double of speed limit on highway exits turn(like damansara). Let's say 50kmh speed limit, I can go 90kmh even 100 without skidding in dry conditions.
Why wide tyres matters ?? Like our weather have heavy rainfall and easily cause aquaplaning.
If drive normal car if hit water puddle on right side, will feel steering pulling to right.
But with wide tyres and ESC, the car won't run. Can drive with one hand.
I've tested many times to trigger skid, but the ESC light never came out (maybe haven't push hard enough but already double of speed limit during corner d)
Actually I felt that a lot of ppl don't know the limits of their car. That makes them dangerous.
Like some SUV turn turtle, or some car don't have ESC skid into drain in corner......
Won't wider tyres increase chances of hydroplaning, instead of the other way round?

I had this G spec car for 8 yrs and its damn reliable. The car that earns the nickname God Car here
Maybe that's her mother first Toyota and the family just want to keep it... It happens all the time
Well these are true hardworking people planning their own Nd next generation future instead of hoping to live in ppr and awaiting handouts fro government
Must be freak accident
Reliable yes. Stable, no so. I owned one too.
The Toyota in question is the NCP150 belonging to another chap who said he'd change car soon because his does not have ESC when he bought it in 2015. Hence, I asked why he didn't choose Honda City V spec that came with ESC at that time.
When you are hardworking to get what you want, you won't want everything wiped out in an accident. It will be meaningless you are killed or maimed because you choose to drive a cheap car just to target another property.
There is no such thing as freak accident.
