I found a way to lock the screen without having the need to use the power button by using the Edge Panels.

Go to Galaxy Store search for SoftEdge Key. Install it and the go to Edge Panel setting to enable it. The option to lock the screen is there at the bottom of the panel together with the option to take screenshot. Move the edge panel either to the left of right to fit your convinience. You’re done . No need to install 3rd party app to lock the screen biggrin.gif or reach for the power button to lock anymore!

Anyone know how to further reduce screen / display size. Already set to the smallest at font size / style and screen zoom setting but still a bit big for my liking...
*
Changed the App grid size?

S10? Seems to be in-line of most flagship. But not sure about mobile network browsing.

S10+ , yes does look like it...I'll have more information about that once I get back to work on Monday.. I'm on mobile network from 9 till 7pm..

Should fairly have an idea how it is then..

If you average it to 15% battery life.. that’s about 7 hours plus nod.gif

Those who are getting good battery life (6-7 hours SOT), I think your "Adaptive power saving" is enabled? This will limit the CPU speed at times.
*
Adaptive power setting only limits certain functions of the phone once it reach 15% or below by turning down the brightness, changing display from WQHD to Lower etc ..exacltly like what IOS has

Thanks! Meaning to untick the app ?
*
I think the guys here are on to something when they said avoid using Smart Switch.

I completely avoided it.. backed up my contacts to google and the remaining to Samsung Cloud. I restored everything else from there on the S10.. yes better to untick the apps option..

Just reinstall the apps, most apps have the feature to backup and restore within the app itself .. use that instead

i think its does more than that... according to this article anyway. anyone can verify?

Samsung Disabled This S10 Setting — But Turning It On Will Drastically Improve Battery Life
*
Interesting.. it turns off that feature once it goes below 15% and goes to Medium Power Saving mode.. that’s from what I saw earlier.. so I thought that’s what it’s for , but this explains it. Great feature smile.gif

What's the main reason? Will have some sort of glitch? Backing up WhatsApp to drive taking forever. Dammm

Some of the options and settings are optimised for your old phone.. so when u carry over these apps, your new phone will try optimising it further creating conflicts/wakelocks that contributes to battery drain..

however once you charge your phone does it go back to optimised mode? I tried yesterday and it didnt so I disabled the adaptive feature. but that was just at the moment I plug in my charger

feel its a bit "useless" if all it does is go into medium power saving mode once I hit 15%, but didnt revert back to my original setting when I charge or fully charge it

will try enabling it again when my phone is fully charged later, and tomorrow see how it goes
*
I didn’t check this whether it’ll revert back to it’s earlier setting before it changed haha

QUOTE(Assclown @ Mar 10 2019, 11:46 PM)
you sure it only limit certain functions once it reach 15%? From my experience, I saw it changed to Medium Power Saving Mode even though i have 60% battery left.

And no wonder this afternoon I experienced some laggy scrolling and notifications for gmail coming in only when I turn on the display.
*
Reallly it should let change though? Mine is on Optimized and like I mentioned earlier..it only changed once it dropped below 15%

We are not alone when it comes to the confusion of Adaptive Power Saving vs Adaptive Battery

here's a discussion on Reddit

https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxys10/comments...wer_saving_and/

according to a user there -
means the article I shared above probably is mistaken as well
*
This makes so much sense! I thought adaptive battery was adaptive power saving sweat.gif

which phone bro?

my s10e also drains from 95 to 89% from 11pm to 830am

Using the Plus.. although I must add that when I woke up I saw a bunch of notifications from Google Facebook and it switched from WIFI to mobile data hahaha...just need to tweak some settings

Battery drains with Androids is something I've come to expect already..just a matter of personal preference..

5-10% drain overnight gives you guys headache?

Just enjoy the phone lol.

1 month before your warranty expires, go to samsung and tell your battery drains fast.

They'll replace it for free. Hell they may even replace the screen (togerther with the metal sides) too if there's any oled burn in or yellowing.
*
This is a great tip..laugh.gif ill keep this in mind
