Nothing to do with strong or 60k yearly πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

It is only doing because of RM depreciation from the foreign holdings that they bought since 2013 when they started investing overseas

Out of 60k what impact do you think when only 37% of it performing and getting 9.27% return last year while the rest is stagnant πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

60k only 1 person....

if multiple by the million...

u gets big scale of $$$...

it's somehow can buffer the rest...

why u think after so much withdrawals....

EPF fund size didn't change much???

and Chinese holdings maintain almost the same??? because support all the way....

4 mil members... but hold like 50% of total.... vs 7mil members hold like 30% or less.... it's numbers game...

now April probably goes up 100k.... more $$$ for EPF....

The fund size doesn’t change because employers and members are still contributing since all economy sectors has been reopened fully since late 2021 πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

More money doesn’t better for EPF in fact worse because they will take lesser risks and not nimble when the fund is getting bigger hence missed opportunities πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

first u says...
60k no make differences...

now u say otherwise...

bigger better... because more $$$...
needed to invest more risky assets & explore new markets... then only give competitive returns...

if not, just dump into FD & get that pathetic rates tongue.gif

That is why smaller caps always outperform because able to take risks

Read properly did I say otherwise πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

60k will not make any difference YoY unless it has been compounded for more than 10years

Bigger doesn’t mean better because they would not take more risks to invest and lose the money πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

More money to invest to risky markets and explore new markets will cost more hence EPF would not do that πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Go take a look at yourself does EPF buy into new companies IPO in the 1st as they will never do that πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ even investing local startups is now only forced upon by PMX in the latest bajet

60k don't make difference YoY? U joking right 🀣

Bigger don't take risk?
So smaller only take risk?
What BS is this... Smaller must take safe route... If make risky investment... More effects of losses.. Bigger size means less effects on losses... Just look at Shariah EPF as examples....
It's smaller & perform badly....

EPF no buy IPOs? Or starts up?
Please do more research first..... They indeed invest but at small scale... Start when they start explore foreign exchange / investment....

What PMX says in budget is just the continuation... Nothing new....

You are just turning your head upside and go read about small caps vs big caps πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Nonsense when smaller caps take more risks than bigger caps because bigger means more losses if things go wrong and they cannot take the losses as it will impact the fund size πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

EPF never do startups or IPOs because the risks incurred in their fund πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ and most their foreign holdings are in REITs as the biggest holding is the biggest shopping centre in Poland πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ you should do more research instead of insinuating and starting rumours like your so called non existent source πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

EPF is big cap fund πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ and remember their mandate is for social responsibility hence risk averse πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Seriously you should study their SAA strategy before starting up rumours on as their AA is clear guided by their mandate and there is no major deviation in place unlike other statuary investment board like Khazanah which are able to take risks
