The Sony 18-250mm is geared 21/12 = 1.75x faster. I would pay for the focusing speed. It also has circular aperture blades and different coatings.

Remember that in Sg. Wang, the Sony lenses get much more than 10% discount, on average!

You can get the Tamron or Sigma 70-300mm with macro... but when you don't bring either, you bring the +4 close-up filter for your kit lens.

Personally, I don't fancy the Tamron 90mm F2.8 Macro due to the occasional donuts in the out-of-focus areas. I have not tried the Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro but the Minolta/Sony 100mm F2.8 Macro has perfectly neutral bokeh and high contrast.

The Sony 16-105mm F3.5-5.6 DT is probably Sony taking the Carl Zeiss 16-80mm F3.5-4.5 DT, and adding a bit of range but at the expense of brightness. It even looks identical when it is not extended! The contrast is INSANE in both lenses, and the color jumps out at you, even in the viewfinder. But that one is another story for later lah.

Errr that thing Sony 100mm is like 3k rite?

Hehe, finally got myself a single lens kit @ RM1850, add a tele lens from tamron 70-300, 4.5-6 RM560 and accessories, add up almost RM1k to the purchase price.

The result?

Good or not guys? From a guy who never touched a SLR before tongue.gif

Sony camera no problem... mostly is lense rosak only...

APO (APO Lens)
In order to attain the highest quality images, the APO lens has been made using special low-dispersion (SLD) glass and is designed to minimize color aberration.
