Went back to the beach house yesterday so I can take more pics. This was taken just outside the house beside the road. Tons of cars n bikes going by for me to try panning. laugh.gif This is the best I could do. What else shud i do to make the bike sharper n background more blur?  These r the settings I used.

Shutter priority. 1/100 sec. F/9, ISO 100.

Will post up more pics later n ask for u guys help on how I can improve on teh pics.

I think the focus need to be in AF-C ... to track the subject. Higher Shutter speed to freeze the subject... And a faster lens (F2.8)

~Try shooting at night.. like fireworks .
~How close can you get with a T20 to a F1 car on a race track , or the tiger eye.

Some of the example scenario DSLR with proper lens they cant out T20 for sure. Its just matter of experimenting. And the POISON begins.

Oh yeah if you worry about those colour and temp.. shoot in RAW. adjust later.

A buncha other photos turned out awfully underexposed/generally crappy looking, although they looked fine on the LCD after I shot it... Must be a case of "sunlight-reflecting-off-the-LCD-and-making-everything-look-nice-and-dandy"... sweat.gif

Hahah... yup.. when you put on screen.. you can see blur blur... rite?

any disadvantages on having liveview?

Hmmm not really got disadvantage lo... more like technology may need more time to mature. Canon , Nikon, Sony, Oly... all got almost the liveview up but each with diff design advantage where you need read up.

thanks albnok bro and ahmike brother, maybe the advantage of DSLR over DC is lens and nite shoot. day time dslr dont have much advantage since most dc can perform well. before that i was disappointed for my purchasing but seems what i think is wrong.  smile.gif
Actually just balance between both worlds... When like go to nightclub with frens, using a DC is easier then just bringing the whole dslr system. You can dance and keep the camera in the pocket while dslr is err bit too big to dance around with unless you covering some event.

AHMIKE: i see that you want to climb mt. kinabalu in september. just remember to bring extra protection for your DSLR (if you wanna bring it along lah) because weather up there is known to be a bit crazy sometimes. it could be all hot and nice down here in KK and raining non-stop up there. Just a word of advise. Lose weight and train more. smile.gif you will need it. great experience, no doubt about it.

Previously i was actually thinking of getting a full frame body (Nikon D3), knowing and tested the camera, for some reason i put it down, and went straight for A700.

You have actually put my thoughts into words that i don't know how to explain all these while =/ but it's true that i thought of getting a full frame pair with  the 35mm, but didn't think that it might have that kind of problem (Picture might turned out different from what i think).

I'm not rushing to 35mm tho, the lense is just "it's nice to have one" to me now =P

Let's just hope the a900 won't be priced at 17 ~ 20k =/

AS For our outing, i'm glad to meet up all of you again =) And hopefully the next outing we'll be going somewhere to do some shooting and learning outdoor~
