That RM0 is poiting at the sms itself. It simply means you are not charged for receiving that particular sms. That staff at TMpoint conned u into signing up. Unifi has always been bundled with IPTV.
*
There’s a 2nd RM0 in the SMS.

Awesome. Their mistake then? Now confirm RM129 a month as per their website?

For some reason they assumed I needed movies on the TV. They didn’t provide any setup box for me as well. But it’s all good now.
*
Yeah, the RM129 from their website also not set top box. Have to watch using their app.

Thanks for the reply, i just checked on the first page, I'm still using the old router D-Link DIR-615 😅.

As for the BTU, what should i tell to replace it? I'm not sure the BTU is too old for me or not.
*
Post the BTU model then we can tell you.

btw, DIR-615 on UniFi 100Mbps.

I am wondering my ancient RM60 Streamyx 384kbps use at office will be upgraded for free or not?  Last time i registered it under personal name for office use as it is the cheapest way to get basic internet.  After that they change policy and not possible to register personal line in commercial area anymore.

Check the account at Unifi and the generic message just pop out saying "Unifi is coming to your area...blah blah blah...".  hmm.gif  If give me 10mbps Lite at RM60 I won't mind at all.  tongue.gif
*
Funny you should mention Streamyx, I just got off the phone with my last friend on Streamyx. She's now paying RM80 for 100Mbps with STD20 and PlayTV (no STB).

Her progression is something like this:
384K, 1M, 2M RM60, 70, 80 (couldn't remember exactly)
UniFi 10Mbps RM80
Unifi 100Mbps Turbo Upgrade RM80

Just checked, I guess is Huawei EchoLife hg8240h and the router is DIR-615. And now my unifi has been upgraded to 500mbps. So I will need upgrade router, BTU and also LAN cable right?
*
The HG8240H is gigabit so is ready for anything 300, 500 or 800Mbps. The DIR-615 have to change lah since it's only 100Mbps network ports. LAN cable Cat5e is OK. Check yours.

no router ..modem given...

the existing router will be no provide warranty also?

thanks ...
*
No new equipment if old one still working but warranty should be renewed for one year. I suppose you can fix the "still working" part if you need to claim for a new router. devil.gif

My friend haven't got it yet but he didn't go to the Turbo Status page to click it. Maybe that's why? He didn't know about that page until last week.

I have had my unifi tubo'ed to 800 Mbps since last year. I realized the speed capped at 300 Mbps after few days or a week using it. I have to reset the router to correct the speed back to 800 Mbps.

Does anyone have experienced the same before?
*
Also on 800Mbps, fine here. If rebooting your router fixes it then it could be caused by your router.

Is it possible this is caused by my 2nd router? The 2nd router is Tp Link AC1200, wired through LAN and set as access point by giving fixed LAN IP address.

Main router is Tp Link AC2300

Hard to say. Turn the AP off and see if the problem occurs.

One year is over. I wonder what will happen if I request for my Ultimate to change to Ruby. Currently my bill is:
800Mbps 99 (329 discount 230)
Ultimate 60
RM159

What to do, it's TM. At least better than that Maxis guy who called me up to push his RM129 100Mbps. I save RM30, of course. While 800Mbps is fast, it's not so stable. Maxis 100Mbps is very stable. According to him.

Now feel like changing.

Why speed at 800Mbps not stable even compare with Maxis 100Mpbs. Many here jealous you on the 800mbps speed.
*
That one, gotta ask the Maxis tele-sales guy.

I thought u said 800mbps not stable since currently you are using it right? Disconnect issue?
*
Oh, no lah. The Maxis telesales said 800M is fast but his Maxis 100M is cheaper and more stable. Sales guy lah.

In a way, he'll always be right because if there's congestion in the future, 800Mbps will definitely see a bigger hit on the speed than 100Mbps. And of course, on wifi 800M will fluctuate a lot more than 100M.

For myself, so far, touch wood, 800 has been nice & stable. Probably jinxed myself there.

QUOTE(arvind13 @ Mar 5 2019, 02:59 PM)
hi all, just to check if the Unifi service period date will reset and start from the Unifi Turbo effective date? Is this normal? My initial service period was Dec 2017 but after Turbo service period changed to Oct 2018.  My speed was upgraded from 30Mbps to 300Mbps now.
*
Do you mean the contract? The service start date is when you had your current package activated. Nothing to do with the contract.
For example:
My Service Start Date and Contract Start Date for UniFi 100Mbps started in Nov 2017.
I got my Turbo 800 in Dec 2018. So now my Service Start Date is Dec 2018.
My Contract Start Date remains on Nov 2017.

Service Start Date is the one visible in unifi.com.my.
Contract Start Date is not visible but you can ask 100 about this. I think it was visible if you went to the terminate service page. Not sure if it still is.
