I believe at 30 years should have enough to outright buy a non-prime landed house for cash outright. So about 400K (including EPF).

When I turned 28 I finally started "living" and started buying things for myself that I wanted but previously refrained from splurging.

Actually the only thing I actually bought was a 2nd hand 4 year old Lotus Elise with an engine that was on its last legs of life. Prior to that I never had a car of my own as I was given a company car.

How much savings did I have? Probably around 2 months salary as I was always broke due to an addiction to attending real estate auctions and buying fixer-uppers. Always had the plan that I buy, fix and then flip........only problem?? When it came time to flip I felt heavy hearted to sell as I had put in all the hardwork to get it to where it was....... I guess its a good thing I did not sell as if I had sold the money would have gone no idea where.
