If you want something not that hot and consumes less power but also performs around 5% less, then the 3870.
If you dun mind the heat and the power and also mind about the extra 5%, then the 88GT.
However, i think many people will be like, whichever cheaper as these 2 card should be performing very close to each other with the Ati slightly losing out.
Nvidia claims 35%, Ati claims 5%...So lets just wait for the actual release to judge.
