Buy at Disney Store there. I did buy online, but somehow after printing, QR code didn't show up (not sure if it was my issue), i waste 30 minutes at Information counter at DisneySea to ask them for new ticket.
*
where did u buy the ticket from?
u could have just download the app and open the E-ticket for scanning

Starting date must be today. Means your travel dates must be 11/11 to 21/11. No other dates than that.
*
no
the date in front, u select MUST be 11th

u read at the top there "For 11.11 Promotion, please select the pickup date at the checkout page"

after u select "11.11 Sale (1 Ringgit Deal) WiFi Device"
select days...press book now
at the booking page...see the 1st column that say "Device Pickup Date (3 months from booking)" - this is where u select the date u want laugh.gif

i guess it's confusing that's why until now 1st 50 booking also not yet finish laugh.gif

Not everyone got budget can go Japan every year, my friend. Somemore there are other places to travel so others might be traveling yearly but only go Japan once a while. Like me my next trips most likely won't be to Japan in another 1-2 years time.... a tourist IC card would suit us types best as we won't have to pay the 500yen deposit and we don't have to worry the card expiry.
*
ahhh...i dare to say is because u do know that the IC card's validity period is 10 years right?
once u go to japan and use it, it renews another 10 years laugh.gif

I also plan on doing the same as Chester stay at Osaka travel to Kyoto daily.

I thought doing so can save hassle & time packing and repacking. Furthermore checkout is morning in one hotel and 3 pm in the other hotel. 1/2 day pass already.
*
depending on how many days u plan to go kyoto
u may think it saves hassle but it's creating more hassle
because u need to wake up so early everyday to maximize the time u got since u need 1 hour each way to and back from kyoto
the train fare surely isn't a problem since it's already saved from the accommodation
it's the time that u need to sacrifice to go back and forth everyday and u can't stay there until it's too late because it's takes an hour to go back

and if you're living in namba area, there is no direct route...u need to transit at a major station in order to reach kyoto or get back home

true true.

Another added reason I thought is the sakura forecast for 2020 is not out yet and I am booking the hotel now. So next year I have the flexibility to rearrange my itinerary which date to go to Kyoto to catch full bloom.

But planning to be there quite a while 12 days.

unsure.gif if can fill up all the days.
*
better book early, even for airbnb..they run out fast
i really do not recommend going JP next year
the price of flight ticket is already not looking good for me since olympic year for japan
everything else will be inflated AF laugh.gif

I bought a bunch of attraction tickets and tours from Klook mobile app. Do we need to print all these tickets out in hard copy or we could just present/scan it via our mobile?

Any experience guys?
*
most of it needed to be printed out
especially those B1F1 where there will be 2 ticket attached
some like tour...no need to print out, just show from app

Hahaha! Not everyone is a potterhead. But I been to USS and if can, I would go to USJ just for the thematic roller coaster & thrill rides. I believe like USS, each attraction in USJ has some kinda roller coaster or thrill rides?
*

Yaloh thats what my brother said.

But then again he never been to USS.  whistling.gif
*
2 theme in USJ that will make it worth
1. harry potter
2. minion
these 2 USJ don't have and is super crowded

not sure abt USJ because the last time i go was way long ago
japanese theme park, if u go near festive season like christmas, holloweeen...they have a lot of extra show, rides, activities, street show..etc etc
been to disneysea, recently USJ...pretty blown away by their theme park

not sure abt USS but in USJ...u will get wet...1 way or the other laugh.gif

QUOTE(Johnslow @ Nov 18 2019, 02:54 PM)
Thx i've been to Tokyo Disney 10 years ago and very impressed by the crew's enthusiasm and joy they exuberant with the guest. I went from opening to closing (10pm i think) and the crew was just so joyous and wonderful even to the closing time when they wave goodbye. When I was in USS I really found that same element missing from the crew.

Not much of a trill ride person, in USS i remember going for the Shriek 4D, Hollywood action show, Transformers (twice), waterworld show(twice too). In USS I took the combo ticket with the aquarium and afternoon i went there for 2-3 hours.

Perhaps I can fill up the whole day in USJ since there is more stuff there. And I will be bringing my mom, so she perhaps more keen on taking photos in Hogsworth.
*
yes, that friendliness service...the ride operator keep waving at people and ask people to come
u won't see that in USS

and my mom aged 60+ actually enjoyed USJ, she even took some of the ride...so that's a plus point for it
for USJ, more than enough time to keep u for a day there
if u choose 1 either harry potter or minion....1 alone already occupy u from opening till 11AM already because of the long queue...u haven't even touch others yet

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Nov 19 2019, 06:59 AM)
Hey I just reached Osaka recently!

So many drugstores/pharmacies at shopping streets (Ebi suji, Shinsai, Sennichimae) @ Namba area...

Which drugstore/pharmacy overall is one of the cheapest to get skin care/beauty products? Because there are like 1001 of such stores so maybe we can an indication of which shops to look at.

Also, should we buy our sweets/chocolates/souvenirs at Osaka or at Kyoto? We're scared that there are not many choices or it's more expensive in Kyoto
*
each drugstores has their own cheap things and own promo
if u plan to buy everything in 1 store, regardless which...the differences are minor
unless u survey each store and see what is cheap in there and separate your purchase

as for sweets/chocolate/souvenirs....other than those common ones in drugstore
all the other ones are exclusive to area
like osaka has their own, kyoto has their own, kobe has their own, nara has their own
and if u missed it, u come back to osaka..u can't find it anymore

That minor savings buying here and there, doesn't really compare if buying from a single shop and claim the tax deduction.
*
japan's tax refund rate is minimum 5000 yen
which is easily reach, u grab a few item...u already over 5k yen
so u can theoretically separate your purchase if u want to

even at the same street, same drug store can be having different promotion or same item selling at different price
at least that's what i've seen...different owner i guess

Take note of tax refund slips, click only if you can read Chinese: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid...938120582934128

My first tax refund slip was properly taped on my passport and round stamp was within the slip but subsequently after that and yesterday's spending at Rinku Premium Outlet were all stapled and half of the round stamps were stamped outside of the slips. If this happens to me as well then I'm screwed because I travel to China quite often too.
*
my passport has staples since like 3 years ago from my tokyo trip
different place u claim tax refund, they do it a different style...even if it's the same donki
this time my osaka trip, they use tape for all my tax refund

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 19 2019, 09:53 PM)
I bought jacket in Adidas Shinsaibashi and the staff taped nicely but can't say the same for Adidas in Rinku.

Yes, my previous passport (expired already) also has staples from my previous Japan trip.

Honestly, I don't see a point for them to do it. We are not doing refund anymore because it has been deducted when we purchase our stuff. It's really a waste of resources and creates more issues (like the sharing I posted earlier).
*
actually it's a refund
u don't feel it because they merge it at the same time
actually u need to make the payment 1st, thn only they proceed with the refund
but u don't see it that way because they didn't ask your money for the payment part

and the receipt part is very vague
actually we need to drop the receipt at a bin at the departure hall of airport....my bro did it, but i didn't see it

my passport i just check has 2 stapler still attached and 1 stapler hole
1 came from bangkok, another came from taiwan...japan isn't the 1st practicing this
