I know, what I mean is not needed to stick on the passport.

It's there, after passed immigration. I detached mine yesterday.

After having travelled to so many countries and did tonnes of tax refund, Japan has the easiest way to refund but also the most untidy way to do it.
*
my passport i just check has 2 stapler still attached and 1 stapler hole
1 came from bangkok, another came from taiwan...japan isn't the 1st practicing this(at least japan uses tape)

Theoretically yes, but I wouldn't want to spend my holiday on a spreadsheet comparing prices and matching the buys so I can ngam-ngam hit above 5k yen for all the disparate purchases. lolz!

Yeah, different shops have different prices, and even same franchise shops have different prices at different locations. They haven't learnt our commercial darkarts of cartel price fixing yet.
*
u no need to compare like a spreadsheet
first few days, walk around and enter a few drug store on the way
look at the items u wanna buy and remember the price

if it's like cheaper, just buy it
sometime standalone price is cheaper than after tax refund price(at other place)...u never know
the store at less crowded/touristy place have a lower price(but lesser variance)

actually no one outside malaysia practice price fixing, they're all used to something called competition
only malaysian wanna sell at the max ceiling price which is why we can't compete

Believe me. We tried. And that was only for Kitkats. lolz!

After the umpteen number of shops we go for one shotengai we then also compared with OTHER shops in ANOTHER shotengai. And then we compared with Donki too. And Lawsons. And Family Marts. And 7is. And AEON plus Seiyu supermarts.

So yeah, it was lucky someone in my group was keeping mental track on the prices as I was by then confused which was which at where. Haha!
*
u don't need to compare kit kat price lah
kit kat price is fixed everywhere
it's either 220yen for the plastic bag one or it's 800 yen for the box
the price is fixed everywhere u go(the only difference is flavour availability)
the price that will differ is the medicine, make up, skin care product

Not really, some places like Arashiyama only just started.
I was at northern Higashiyama today and only Nanzenji/Eikando were nice.
The temperature today was 5 degrees colder so that'll help.
Few more days would be perfect.
*
thn it might not change colour at all or won't change like the ones in the video
that 2 video is taken at kyoto

I am in Osaka now. It's very cold here but people wear thin clothes whereas in Tokyo I think not as cold as Osaka but people there wear thick clothes. it's very windy in Osaka.

I found people here very friendly than in Malaysia. Only 1-2 people rude.
*
wear thin clothes?
if it's cold and they're wearing thin clothes, high chance they're not japanese...high chance is malaysian or neighboring countries people laugh.gif

Hi guys, for Tokyo Disneysea, is it advisable to get the tickets at the place itself or buy it online?

I saw Traveloka selling the tickets at a reasonable price so I'm unsure
*
buy online
1. can get better pricing/discount
2. just enter when u reach there...no need to go anywhere else

Hi, I will be arriving at Kansai Airport, spend few nights in osaka & kyoto then travel to tokyo and fly off from there. Following are my arrangement for rail pass. Do you think any other ways i can save from my transportation? I dont find any other rail pass that suit my itinerary.

Kansai Airport to Namba Station - buy Nankai Rapid Airport Express Ticket
Train within Osaka and Kyoto - use ICOCA
Osaka to Tokyo - buy JR single way ticket
Train within Tokyo - use SUICA
*
cheap transport from osaka to tokyo, use bus
no need to buy another car, just use ICOCA in tokyo
every place in japan has their own car but compatible nationwide

QUOTE(Jesse0916 @ Dec 15 2019, 10:14 PM)
Thanks, Sifu.
I plan to go Japan without carry any "Yen". I just afraid that withdraw unsuccessful/ fail only.

*
u can't go to japan without carrying yen, it's a cash country
BP rate is cheap but u haven't include the withdrawal charges yet

Just got back from my Japan trip. It was enjoyable, with many attractions not crowded at all (best for photo-taking!). Did not see any the state of panic among the people (not everyone wore masks). Actually feel now's the best time to visit coz the crowds were insane the previous time I went 6 years ago, but of course need to practise caution at the airport.
*
Now is the best time to visit any country actually
U can take your time to take the best photo of every attractions

There is only one life for us

We still have chance to go maybe next but not at a time like this right now sad.gif

I'm still asking Airbnb for full refund!!
They are another stubborn company who only listen to W.H.O.

Lesson learnt, no more Airbnb next time :x
*
all wise people will never only based on hearsay
will only be based on official news

u go to hotel is also the same, it makes no difference...they're huge companies that based on official news as well...no some hearsay from unker auntie
if do business based on hearsay, they would bankrupt long ago

you only have 1 life, but life is unpredictable at the same time
someone i knew just died few days ago and it's not even by the virus or accident
