maybe ur stb box off auto update. if ur sideload stb before and change configuration this box. u can't get any update from tm.

I never sideload anything nor root or jailbreak it at all. All default tm auto updated all time.

The update has started downloading after the lan and wifi connection has been connected to the Internet. I have received a message "Update config not found" in the past few months when I try to manual update the software in setting. I was quite surprised that the update has popped update shortly after I launched the Unifi TV app from the homepage.

I heard that Unifi team love to release the update in stages and that's why not all users will receive the update at the same time. They will release the UI update in the very near future.

Maybe they use wifi to update. I off the wifi all the time. Will test it on weekend.

today i got new UI unifi tv but i cant upload bcoz they need pictr.com sign in email for upload image.

after update, any different beside the new user interface?

Also got the update, all the apk apps i had installed is not available.

I got my update few days ago, luckily I have installed some Market app before. Able to switch to the Market app after system upgrade and install additional launcher.
Now when press the Home button, it will prompt to select launcher.
FYI, I have installed:

1. Shafa Market & Shafa Launcher http://www.shafa.com/
2. DangBei Market & DangBei Launcher http://www.dangbei.com/

If you have installed some app before, chances are it may already run in the background. If you see the icon at the left bottom corner, try to press menu button, and you may switch to the app.
If you are not able to switch to any app, try download launcher apk into USB drive, plug into the TVBox, if lucky, you may prompt to open the USB and install the apk, good luck!

Advice for those who hasn't upgraded yet, install Market & Launcher ASAP.

Noticed the STB now have Netflix in list of installed apps. It's not shown in the launcher or unifi TV app though. Maybe they are finally giving the free Netflix access soon.

Update: Noticed there is now a Netflix ESN in the system info in the settings of this STB too.

No Wi-Fi needed. Update can be through Ethernet on VLAN 600 as usual. Mine updated without Wi-Fi as I don't use the box for anything other than watching unifi TV.

tbh this so ugly

As expected previously installed launcher and apps (i.e es explorer) all can't be access after the update.
Using the shafa launcher apk on an ext USB and managed to access the previously installed apps in the background.
but question is now, i can't access the launcher to trigger the apps haha~
i tried installing the launcher again but not appearing on the NEW main page of the Unifi PlayTV page.

please help hypptv is locked again

Hmm...yes, everything will not appear in the new UnifiTV UI.
But you can try the "Home" button, then a popup will let you choose which launcher to run.

the "old" UI look better.

Even after update the new UI , my apps still there bcoz before that i install android tv launcher. i can watch netflix, youtube and many more apps😁😁😁

i used unifi stb box, upgrade early this morning. before that i used android tv launcher. my apps still there.😎

Tried all the button on the remote.
Can't make the menu appeared unfortunately.

If you have only 2 launchers installed and the stock launcher is already set as default, you can't choose when press home on remote. Try install another 3rd party launcher. This will reset the default settings. Press home you should be able to choose which to run and choose only run once not always. Later you can uninstall the 3rd launcher and leave 2, the stock and your preferred launcher. Always remember not to set either launcher as "always".
