Maybe SPOTV wants more money to recoup their Android TV version. I was also surprised I cannot go 1080p anymore :VUnifi TV Ver 2, Formerly known as HyppTV

QUOTE(jusbella @ Oct 4 2023, 10:14 AM) I do believe, TM will check your account billing, as long as the billing for existing user is Rm60 for ultimate pack, then they'll be eligible to swap to family pack which is same price rm60 as well. Went to check unifi account page. Seems can't do direct swap from there even if you're using legacy RM60 ultimate. Those user on ultimate pack with discounted on rm30 wouldn't be eligible to swap, I think. ![]() So yea, need to contact them if want to swap. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 4 2023, 06:47 PM) Prices already naik after promo on 1 Oct. I honestly doubt they would get EPL. Not that they can't afford it, UnifiTv is just lackluster in sports in general. E.g. ultimate max rm135 from 90. Approx... netflix std 45 + Disney 20 + HBOgo 20 + iqiyi 10 + viu 10 + linear 30... about right. When they add Prime, WeTV n others, maybe EPL ... they might raise again. Or repackage. Their in house channel has been cut to only one (Unifi Sports), and only has UFC as their actual licensed sports outside of whatever they are recycling from SPOTV and Bein. Heck, if they really want to show they want to make an effort, at least they could try and license the English League Cup (Carabao Cup). While not as prestigious as the EPL or FA cup, a lot of fans still want to watch it. Currently there are no way to watch it on TV in Malaysia. Compared to Astro who are quick on the uptake. When Ronaldo moved to the Saudi League, they immediatly licensed the Saudi League before it was taken over by SPOTV this season. And when Messi moved to the USA, they immediatly licensed matches involving Inter Miami this season. This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Oct 4 2023, 07:06 PM |

QUOTE(Iptvfan @ Oct 4 2023, 07:48 PM) They already have wetv and prime, just not in packs. I think they no need bloat the packs since ala carte price is there. Yeah, unlike Netflix and HBO, people in this region don't seem to care much about Prime, so it won't really help for them to bundle it in.Epl cost so much money maybe they figure nvm just let azzzterooo eat it until they vonit only they come in if the price go down. |

At TM point Muzium TM, trying to change my Legacy Ultimate to Family Pack. The staffs there has no idea what the new family pack is, as it's not listed on the broschure in front of them, even when I showed it on their own website. And they keep saying if I want to change, I need to use the website, even tho the option to swap the plan is greyed out for me. Edit: in the end the staffs there said she's not really well informed about it and will contact me later if they have more info. TM oh TM it's already a week, why didn't you brief your staffs wei. QUOTE(amirul hafizz @ Oct 6 2023, 10:22 AM) yess. i go TM point Kajang. They say, i need swap online. so i give my phone. Then they trying to swap. no button option for swap. only Ultime Max and Ultimate Plus. The officer blur blur. I just smile😝😝😝😝 Yeahhh. I show them my phone too. I think they were given instructions that any pack swaps are only allowed to be done by customer on their own account. That's why ppl are confused there. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 6 2023, 03:00 PM) https://unifi.com.my/tv/offerings/tv-packs oh. That makes sense. movies RRP is 69.90, now promo 60. cud this be the reason they dun allow migration of ultimate legacy to movies? of the 4 new packs - family, movies, kids, sports - only family hasn't got an RRP. looks like they haven't actually decided the details on all RRPs, can't start migrations or swaps. likely somebody jumped the gun or did a premature SMS for swap. Unifi is well known for these little cockups. |

Update: TM just called me. Since that they can't change the pack from their side, they adviced me to instead upgrade my internet plan, which allows me to change my pack.

QUOTE(VeeJay @ Oct 7 2023, 03:39 PM) Folks, quick question here You can raise the volume of the box itself, which is seperate from the volume of your TV. That's the usual android TV device behaviour.WIth my recent SWU upgrade my Unifi TV box been replaced from the white to black box. What I found is the sound is 50% lower than previous box. Obviously I can increase the volume at my amplifier or TV, but kinda cumbersome, everytime need to adjust the volume. Hence wondering if there any setting thats I missed out? The TVbox volume itself is at max. Thanks I also tested other apps within Unifi-box, netflix, unifitv, bbc, etc all of them the volume is low |

QUOTE(abidshown @ Oct 25 2023, 11:21 PM) damn, i am still pissed off with unifi PQ, how come both xstro and unifi got almost same bitrate for 1080p but unifi one like zaman perang punya video.. xstro is way optimized and crispier video. summore got 50fps, but thats for another time. kamon unifi team, if someone from unifi video team is reading this.... PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR PQ especially when there is fast movement.. the pixellation is too bad Same bitrate/reso, but encoded using different config or hardware can lead to different image qualities. IIRC Astro's web stream are encoded by Amazon's AWS's ingest server (same as Twitch), while UnifiTV is likely encoded in house using normal with default settings. Likely UnifiTV can get 50FPS with their encoder if they tweak some stuffs, but likely they just use it as is. |

QUOTE(Qash-M @ Dec 17 2023, 02:03 PM) I really suspect they don't have the capabilities to encode Full HD in real time for all the channels, which is why there is a whack a mole game of which channel we need to sacrifice quality this week. I wonder why they don't want to use AWS. Even RTM is now using AWS for RTMKlik |

QUOTE(UnifiTVFan @ Jan 11 2024, 01:05 AM) Definitely not Hulu and Discovery+ because all Disney distributed titles under Hulu are on Disney+ Hotstar while Discovery+ content will be launched as part of MAX, which means HBO GO wll either be rebranded as MAX or completely ceased (as it's a lot of work to redesign an app). Vidio seems unlikely as it's just pay-tv service similar to Unifi-TV itself. Mola seems likely, and gives UnifiTV access to Carabao Cup and EFL ChampionshipI guess Paramount+, Vidol TV, Vidio, Sony LIV if they're OTT apps. Maybe EBC Asia, ViuTV, Mola Sport or even a special branded channel of SET Taiwan and SET Metro if they're linear channels. |

QUOTE(UnifiTVFan @ Jan 11 2024, 12:11 PM) If Unifi TV launches Mola Sport, I don't think they'll bring in Mola Golf considering Astro has Golf Channel, so there might be some conflict in terms of broadcasting rights. Basically for Mola, they can get whatever is on the platform now. If you go to Mola.tv, for Malaysia, there's no golf. So theres that doubleM2 liked this post
