unifiplaytv itself can work on regular android but can't navigate properly...

silver/white unifitv box has dedicated line - u get the relevant channels but not the "streaming" apps.

"streaming apps" like iqiyi, lionsgate can only be accessed via apps.

unifiplaytv itself is also an app.

if unifi has done good work, there should be various versions of these apps to be used on regular android, ATV, all brands of smart TV, PC, tablets, etc.

but my exp with unifi playtv... works v well on ATV but not on regular android - hard to navigate with mouse or remote, whatever... can't get full menu.

if the same will happen to iQiyi, lionsgate, u may find navigation issues when using on windows.

well, it is possible they wud have improved all versions at launch, we shall see.

both iQiyi and Viu are in playstore of sharp ATV, shud be same for sony, mibox, shieldtv which are all google certified.
