Today got the UPB, why the picture quality is worse than the old white box. This is terrible. The old white box is connected thru VLAN. But the UPB cannot be connected thru VLAN. It uses the common internet bandwidth. This is really downgrade. Is there any settings to check? I have checked all the app setting in UPB, but no improvement in picture quality. The picture quality now is like DVD versus the old white box (HD quality).

Yes, i'm using with LAN cable direct router.
The problem is, it always show "the cable is disconnected" every freaking minutes. Make watching TV is very disturbing.
When I check LAN cable, nothing wrong with it. 

OK, I have downloaded playtv@unifi in my Sony ATV. much much better experience than using that slow and laggy STB 

Anyone experiencing problems with v1.2.10 on ATV?

I can only view the standard local channels (i.e. TV1, TV2, TV3 etc), other channels like NatGeo etc all showed display/playback error....

My unifi tv always show timeout, my router is upstairs i am using a tplink powerline home plug. It is plugged into LAN4, any sifu know what is wrong?

For those with iptv login issue on Android tv. I suggest you contact tm to reset your port.
Since reset on 22/2/21, so far no login issues for me. So far so good.

a friend just recently converted to Unifi from Maxis, 100Mbps RM129 package
This one doesn't have playtv account as well

right. last time the offer the iptv to every package, either 10,50,100 via its so-called "VIP" packages.

after that they decide to not offering the hardware device because of "the trend of people watch tv via pc/portable devices". so the rm129 packages not include the tv box anymore. they just give the playtv account and you can watch via web using internet explorer or portable devices via android/apple apps etc etc.

suddenly, they revive back the tv devices, and of course with a "special" price  from an empty package without tv device price at rm129, it become rm159. then rm159 is no more available and replaced with rm189 with "an increase" speed.

and today, here we go. they not offering the playtv account anymore. i can guarantee, soon they will revive back the program with "a special package with a special price"

Anyone facing issues to view in UnifiTV app? Many channels are lock. Only can watch local TV channels.

By the way guys, the Unifi Plus Box is also using the Android TV app is it? So the video quality won't be as good as the previous silver/white boxes?

I was trying the app out installed on my Sony Android TV, quality is just meh with occasional buffers.

I see, I'm just worried once my current white box goes dead, I'll never be able to watch Unifi TV in such high quality anymore.

Also, if I'm not wrong, the older silver/white box which connects to router's LAN port 4 has a dedicated bandwidth for it so it does not go together with the usual internet traffic.

Breaking News!
Two new channels - HITS HD (CH 454) and HITS Movies HD (CH 407) will launch on both Unifi TV and Unifi PlayTV starting October 1st. However, both channels only have BM subtitles. I wonder whether they will bring in Chinese subtitles soon. 😅

I too just install unifi tv on my tv but seems a bit blur pq compare with std or did i miss something out

I reorganize the channel replacements by tabling it according to its content genres. Information gained as of Sep 15, 2021:

if for those who have Astro too, not really a winner coz Celestial n CCM are already there. I wouldn't mind to have SCM Legend and SCM but we all know Unifi sailang all Fox-related channels.

Agreed, unifi has been uncompetitive for years now, hence astro continuing to monopolize the market.
