I presume Bein has to add another channel, since Bein 3 is dedicated to only UEFA matches, unlike in Indonesia where Bein 3 is for motorsports as well. The F1 license comes with F2 and F3 rights as well, so I don't see how Bein can show all that on Bein 1 only

TM lost their rights to Liga Super and Malaysia Cup IIRC. Hence there are no need for extra Unifi Sports channel anymore

Not announced yet, but it's likely be reverting to Astro from what I am hearing. Which is a shame, as Unifi stream all the matches on YouTube for free

IMO if you don't subscribe to UnifiTV, you can just subscribe to Bein Sports Connect directly instead of going through Unifi TV

Honestly if you want to watch sports, and prefer to watch online, Unifi TV (app version) has the most delay (around 1 minute++). Bein Sports Connect's app is around 30ish seconds delay (but 720p only), which is similar to Sooka (it has 1080p 50FPS if you sub it's highest tier). So if you want the least delay, Bein Sports Connect would be the one to get for Bein's broadcast

Yeah. It does not help that UnifiTV's VOD and Catch Up section is shit. Instead of categorising it using the provider (wether it's from BBC/TVN/CCM/GEM/etc), they lumped everything through category. If you don't know what category you are looking for, you might not even realise it's there

IPTV app = 5mbps 25FPS FHD
Vlan mode = 8Mbps 50FPS FHD

Also it's 2023, why can't I set my subtitle language and be done with it, instead of having to change it everytime I change the channel :V

Considering the coverage were mantained at the same standard from the time Unifi/TM took over the rights, the move to Arena is a better option for local football coverage. A number of stadiums needs better equipments, but Unifi/RTM never really invested in those. Hopefully Astro will

But at the end of the day it's Unifi that does not want to invest extra to keep the rights.
The league wants to improve. They are targeting to be able to use VAR, which stadiums needs to have minimum multiple 4K cameras to be able to qualify for VAR usage. And Unifi does not want to invest in that. It's not Astro's fault that the rights reverts back to them.

Yeah. It was a missed opportunity by UnifiTV honestly. All that extra channels and not even utilised properly unless there are matches. I hope with this, they can use the saved up money from not airing Malaysian league to have better sports line up
