Not sure which entry point is being referred to when you say RM5 per entry. As far as I know, the toll for the 1st bridge is RM7.50 and the toll for the 2nd bridge is RM8.50.

I think Grab should not charge blanket RM9 charge, but to just reimburse the driver for what was paid at the toll booth as is done in the Klang Valley. What is the extra RM1.50 and RM0.50 for - the driver having to take out his card and swipe it at the booth?

Plus if the driver has a Penang resident's Touch 'n' Go special Bridge card, he just needs to pay RM5.60 at the first Bridge - thus generating an even bigger surplus of RM1.90 for the driver - and for doing what - the labour of taking out his card and swiping it?

Also, what if the passenger has his own T'n'G card crossing from the mainland to Penang Island - he should be allowed to use his own card to do this, like in the Klang Valley. Does this mean that Grab will still insist that only the driver will be the one to pay the toll even though we can pay the toll ourselves - for cash too, come to think of it. Why the RM9 and not the exact sum, like in the Klang Valley?

Grab Club seems attractive when i doubt about their integrity, Grab programmer might working on higher fare for Grab club user.

At least most of the time it is much cheaper compare to taxi.

For nowadays strawberry generations only.......my time all mostly walk or public transport ,where got short distance take Grab 1

Grab already clearly state got RM9 surcharge. You use their service meaning you accept their terms. What's the point of trying to rationalize Grabs surcharge? Please don't penalize driver by giving 1 star. Driver also kuli only.

If don't agree with this, then can always take taxi or ferry.

U use your touch n go and still have to pay the of RM9 surcharge. It has been clearly shown in the T&C which i shared out.

U must understand travelling to/from mainland to island require some distance and the driver has to incur additional petrol cost as well.

Each state outside Klang valley is slightly different pricing in Grab.

Even when goto outside Malaysia, like Vietnam or Thailand,
I once sat a Grabcar (Not Grab 6 seater) in Bangkok , a ride from Baiyoke Tower to Siam Paragon. Distance aint that far. Guess what. 350 Bahts. thats Rm 48.
Want to kau pei kau bu to the Thai Grab car? Took like 35-40 mins because of the famous BKK jam.

Try Grabcar in Bangkok and see how much is the price there, then you will say KL is cheaper sometines.

sometimes customers think grab drivers are doing social service to society cannot charge this lah that lah..but when taking normal taxi dare not voice out anything eventhough they dont use meter,look clumsy or thugish,car dirty,no aircon. But when comes to grab car they got tonnes of complains.

meanwhile locals, they have their own transport n they think grab ride is always expensive.

best for them is RM0.20 per km without any surcharge.

kalau boleh rm5 for 20km ride n without toll.
