Sounds like you are totally new to these. There is a China seller mentioned on the first page, who is very patient with new buyers like yourself.
Otherwise, just open Shopee or Lazada, search local sellers of Tx3 and post your questions to them if you are comfortable with local suppliers.

tx3 cannot update, but any free VOD apps you install will most likely be able to auto update with latest flix. All depends on the apps you install into the Tx3.

The statement is VALID, but varies from seller to seller. Nowadays tough business for them if they don't offer some kind of after sales services, or offer fully loaded boxes. Some preload all sorts of rubbish, some give you all the latest apps and you choose, and there are those that hear what you want and install the necessary stuff and it comes with a higher price for their service.

Include asteruk? Some apps got, but not lasting. Have to update app or keep update with the sharing community.

Reliable? A few apps really good especially for local and overseas channels, but still it depends if the developer of the app/playlist maintains it. If you are looking for Asteruk-like-reliability for Asteruk channels then the apps have to be regularly updated from the sharing community. And then there are really good stuff that lasts a very long time for free, but do you think sellers will freely gift them to you!

Breaking News - TX3mini & Tx3 prohibited from Shopee and Lazada

Recommended a friend TX3mini for AsterukGo and refer to this forum postings first page for links and recommended seller.
I was shocked to learn that, the link is invalid and neither can Tx3 search result in anything in Shopee.




In fact, all the TX3mini which has surpassed 1,000 unit sales prior has been removed from top recommended local and overseas sellers' shops.

What I notice after more digging, is that the Word "Tx3" has been banned on big sellers stores. Other stores with low sales were let off.

Seems like some organisation has requested Shopee and Lazada to remove a few items bearing the word Tx3 and also ban the Search of Tx3.

I really don't know to laugh or cry, but one thing is for certain. Tx3 mini and Tx3 boxes with the built-in Root Switch are now inadvertently "acknowledged" as truly compatible with Official Asterisk Go app.

Funny enough, I search TX6 and it is okay along with all the big recommended sellers links.

Asked around, and in fact a few other models were also taken down. So, if anyone still wants to get hold of the box, do message the top sellers directly.

Indeed, that is what I did when digging further. In fact the terms S905W and S905X3 which is commonly associated with TX3mini and Tx3 is allowed. Heck even TX6 search is allowed.

So why the term "Tx3"? What is TX3mini and Tx3 different to other boxes, so much so that TX3mini which has over 10,000 units sold by just one local store were removed by Shopee?

I have a hunch this thread itself has a lot to do with the proceedings, as the title of this thread is TX3mini. But primarily, I truly believe the Root Switch in TX3mini was too much to handle for some organisation.

I Remember couple of months back the Term Asterosak, Aotg, Asteriskgo were banned and all Shopee items with that term in their description were asked to be removed or have the item totally deleted.

Just been told, news been flying around that updating the webview is not necessary for Tx3 and Tx6 to login and run ogortsA latest version.

Two methods :-
One involves updating in a specific manner using official version.

Another method is through TWO modded apk of different versions.
To my surprise, the modder mention that Nvidia Shield Pro applicable.

All this does summarize the comment by AVFAN of the futile effort to block android TVbox. Since there is huge demand, there is surely someone who will willingly spend time and effort to bypass the blockage. They are really caught between a rock and a hard place.

Will update when I have indepth information on these.

- install an very old official version from apkpure (one that pop-up requiring immediate update during startup)
- update to latest version using aptoide.

The above does not require any webview changes, just an updated Chrome.

The above should supersede all other older mod versions.

If you are referring to my first post on the first page, at the time of the posting last year - there were issues.
Currently I believe the issues are resolved albeit with mod apk or requiring the changing of webview for the latest version of AstoGool.

However I don't remember Tx3 Mini having Android 9. The last I remember is Android 8.
Are you mistaken with Tx3 S905X3?

If the seller can confirm there is such a Tx3 Mini Android 9 and it is compatible right out of the box, then all the better.

I don't foresee any problem with the m3u playlist with Kodi. Some playlist are configured to work with Kodi specifically.
If you are asking if the EPG that comes with it will work in KODI, I highly doubt it. The epg that comes attached is not working due to an invalid secret code in the EPG link.

First and foremost, apologies if this thread has confused you. This thread actually started as a Tx3 Mini (S905W) Android 7 discussion.

Then it was used to address other Tanix boxes as they are all related with one common thing, AssterukGoll.

Along the way, there were Tx3 Max (S905W+Bluetooth) and Tx5(S905 X2), both no longer in mainstream market.

then came Tx6 (Allwinner) Android 9

then Tx3 Mini (s905W) was updated to Android 8 from Android 7

then came Tx3 (S905 X3) Android 9. {this Tx3 is a huge upgrade from Tx3 mini)

then lately came Tx6S (Allwinner) Android 10 {the S denotes SLIM, and from feedback the performance does not differ much to original Tx6)

Then back in December 2020, all major Tx3 mini product links in Shopee and Lazada were removed.

Tx3 Mini only comes in these two versions ever since, the 1GB and 2GB RAM.

Tx3 (i.e.Tx3 S905X3) comes in 2GB and 4GB RAM

Apart from RAM variations, there is also the WIFI connectivity Variation as in 2.4GHz or 5 GHz Wifi.

There are a lot to consider and it cannot be justified which box is better or best as it depends on the suitability for the user.

In short, the more expensive is usually the better.

For comparison of these 3 boxes, here are the pros cons aspect:-
Tx3 - best performance, investment safeguard for future
TX6 - got external antenna, but box runs at high temperature. Prone to failure due to the high temperature usage.
Tx3mini - cheapest and good as entry level box to test and play around.

I will add MiboxS in the the frame as highly recommended for Android TV OS experience and satisfaction guaranteed albeit the price has risen this year due to halt in manufacturing. The Tanix boxes may not offer 100% satisfaction as settings, configuration and app installed differ from user to user.

I can add TiVo and Dynalink but for new users best to limit consideration to MiboxS if Google certified box is required for Netflix. The more choices, the more headache in choosing.

Sorry, I know none that is m3u playlist. From my experience even if the m3u playlist are available, they are not stable or not lasting. Maybe others have good Kodi add-ons.

Normally these 2 regions playlist are released in CJZB (.ts) format which is the format used in almost all of the Chinese based app. Along with the basic channels, there are also a lot of other channels included. So unlikely you can find such playlist in here.

Don't remember hearing a S905X. Only come across S905X2 and lately there is the S905X4.

Been so long I haven't login to Lowyat.

Just want to drop in and update on Tx3 mini which to my surprise can still support Asstogoal apkpure official version.

Helped a friend who bought a Tx3 mini 1GB Android 7 two years back, but underutilized. Disabled its Google and Google Services due to its limited memory, installed the apkpure and managed to open and login with no hiccups. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Shared a newfast account and my friend is in cloud nine now.

Also, lately wanted to upgrade my box to Mecool KM2 or KM6. The obvious reason for upgrade is to move on to Android TV OS. I believe the time is right now. And it seems Mecool KM2 is engineered to compete with Xiaomi Mibox S which got me interested in the first place. However I am still undecided as KM6 is top notch box given the specs.

Obviously Netflix 4K and Apkpure official version has to be considered which led to me to the latest modded apk. Sadly a lot of groups and social media platforms has nuked the mod apk file and groups. Heard they have all gone into hiding, lol.

Anyway still weighing between KM2 and KM6. If only the price were to drop 15-20%, lol.

Did you do anything to the built-in Chrome browser?
Try with latest downloadable Chrome for Tx3 from PlayStore.

If not, then try remove the Registered Devices under Astrogo settings in your other mobile devices. Then try to login to Tx3 again.

If you have updated the Chrome browser, then try this.
Disable the Lite mode setting in Chrome.

The built-in Chrome don't need to change this setting last time I login.

However after getting logout because my App detected root, I actually experienced what you said. It won't budge from login screen.

I was in the midst of finding and reinstalling the original Chrome, but the Lite mode disabled seems to do the trick.

Hope it works for you.

Edit: I cleared cache data, uninstall and reinstall then disabled Lite mode in Chrome. My thoughts then was that the root detected in previous installation could be the fault.
