wat? i just bought redmi note 6 for my wife. guess this would be my redmi note 4x upgrade.
finally sd660. gonna be performance beast. but battery might drain faster. camera also good. nice. |

I think the one that come with imx sensor...the so call pro ver gonna come with sd675....and i got the feeling that redmi malaysia gonna bring this model instead, the pro one after cny...lets hope so...

the rear camera is a more cleaned design than previous redmi note series. that teardrop notch is somewhat acceptable. usb-c, 4k batt, headphone jack, and expected to come in affordable pricing. this whole direction of redmi as a sub-brand is a good thing. sometimes you dont even say xiaomi redmi note seven pro. its too freaking long lol.
could just be viable enough for on-the-go media consumption slash backup phone. |

Eventho i really hate notch, be it waterdrop pr whatever fancy name they put to justify it, but looks like gonna close 1 eye for this phone due to the fact that it has USB-C, kinda desperate to replace my laggy Redmi 5A but couldn't find suitable mid range phone that has type-c cable so can share cable with wife

India note 7 does not come with 48 meg camera. It has the same camera as max pro m2 phone. The note7 pro will have the 48 meg sony sensor.

Yesterday go to Mi Store to hands on the unit. Can say very big improvement compare to my wife RN4. Built feel sturdy and premium. Display is gorgeous.

After using Redmi note 7 for a week plus.. These are my reviews
Pros: 1. Value for money for base model 32gb internal storage with 3gb ram. Rm679. Micro SD card support to at least 128gb storage. 6.3 inch screen. Full HD resolution. Not amoled but is bright enough 2. Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4000mah for great battery life. Moderate usage 7 hours plus and above screen on time is not impossible,with 2 days of stand by time before u hit the power socket. This is chipset is ok for gaming Asphalt 9,need for speed, etc with occasional slight frame drop 3. Easy to hold but it is not for single handed use. The corning gorilla glass 5 for front and back make it more resistant to scratch. 4. Support fast charging 4.0 by Qualcomm up to 18w charging. 4000mah battery takes 2 hours to charge. Too bad u need to buy a separate charger for the fast charging Cons: 1. Huge bezel for the front screen. Top bottom and side bezels. Especially the chin is huge. I hate the chin bezel 2. GPS reception is pretty weak especially indoor. U really have to go outside facing the sky for GPS detection. Makes it hard for you to use app like Grab 3. Night mode for its camera is not bad actually but during day time color like red is a bit washed out. hi guys, any idea how to transfer all datas (call history, contacts, settings etc) from xiaomi phone (RN4) to RN7?
i've been using, among others, mi mover, mi pc suite, & other 3rd party app to move but some of my datas, especially call history still not updated (only 2016 call history moved into RN7..lulz..) thanks~ |

After using the RN 7 for about 4 days now, encountered some minor issues:-
1. volte is disabled on my phone, even if i have activated thru the telco (digi), so it needs a special code to enable volte option under sim card management & restart of the phone for the feature to be enabled. 2. the notification icon will disappear after 3 seconds when receiving incoming emails, whatsapps, etc..is it an intended feature under Miui or what, i dunno..but very strange..even if all the notification icon app has been enabled under the settings.. 3. cannot change notification sound on yahoo, gmail & even wechat..except for whatsapp..there's no options to choose notification sound or such..again...a bit weird.. maybe i try to clear cache, or do a hard reset on the phone see how..but overall, quite a good upgrade from my RN4..bigger & brighter screen, improved features on android P vs N..battery life quite good so far.. |

I was referring to v10.2.1.0.OEGMIXM for the Redmi 5+, not the Redmi Note 7. It is an OTA update and if u have that phone, you should get a notification when it's ready for you to download and install. |
