Yes... SoC & internal storage plays together with RAM... If RAM is almost full, next app/activities cannot be executed until RAM is "available", hence, lagging or delay in launching the apps. So, when RAM is "almost full", the system takes a while to "kill" "unwanted" activities in the RAM before making a space for next activities.
As we are aware, apps/activities /tasks are not running directly from internal storage. They are "circulating" in the RAM. What happen if phones shipped without any RAM?

And if the ram is not enuff....the most annoying thing that can happen is your whatsapp get killed...and you wont recieve any whatsapp msg, until you open the whatsapp again....that happen to me before with my rn3p 2gb......i dont have such problem with 3gb phone ever again.so i guest 3gb is the min standard for now and sufficient enuff for day to day basis....this m2 come with 4...for my usage and most ppl, its more than enuff...

Yeah, but I'm not entirely convinced Samsung knows how to price their products in the midrange category, haha. I guess we'll know more come January 28th. That said the Galaxy M series may or may not be launched here.
In the meantime, for those who are keen, the Max Pro M2 will be priced at RM818 in conjunction with Lazada's CNY promo starting tomorrow
