Alright so I have the phone with me. When I get it I full charged it to 100% and then I turned it on. Much to my shock that even at high battery percentage it shows that my battery only have 9+ hours battery life when I see this phone supposedly have 2 days worth of battery life. I figured maybe because I haven't updated the software. So I updated the software, and my battery life is still the same. Should I be worried? Did I do something wrong?
Also additional questions: 1) My phone doesn't have the asus default music player. Where can I download it? 2) When I turned on battery saver, the borders turns red. How can I change the color?

The actual energy consumption is after the 3rd charging cycle...the 1st, 2nd & 3rd is for the system to collect data before can estimate the "remaining battery life" in the stats...
1) M2P is running stock Android. The default music player is Google Play Music. But we can install 3rd party apps from the PlayStore. I don't install any music player. Just using the Google Play Music app is good enuff for me.
2) Cannot change the reddish border. This is system-wide settings to alert the user that the Battery Saver option is activated. Need to root & install custom ROM to fulfill ur expectations.

What does that mean exactly? Do I have to run out the battery till 0% and charge it up to 100% three times?
Shame that the asus music player i want is not available to download. It has features that I use all the time which is seperated shuffle and replay function. I can let a song replay until they shuffle when I hit next. I checked on asus' page on playstore and they didn't have it. I'm not gonna download the knock-offs made by other people as they contain ads.
Well that seems a major oversight, the red color is really distracting. Guess I'm not gonna use battery saver then.

No need to draw till 0%... Just use like normal everyday routine... When reaching 20% can start charging to 80% or 100%. But better till 100% for the 1st 3 cycles so that the estimated battery life is captured based on 100% starting point...
Battery Saver is an option especially when the energy balance is around 20%... The Battery Saver will reduce the SoC "processing" power and lots of background activities will be killed to avoid using more energy silently. There's no harm to activate the Battery Saver from 100% energy level as long as we know how to tweak the settings appropriately so that Push Notifications came thru promptly...

Try download asus music player apk from web. Me using asus file manager, so far didnt make my m1p haywire
If you cant find the screen protector...just get the m1p and turn it upside down....as a temporary solution.. usually i get it from from ustaz shop in medanmara...its very cheap there...rm3 only...but for now...its still not available yet as the m2p is still a new phone regarding to them...until then, im okay with m1p sp and abit unprotected gap at the bottom...

Just got the Max Pro M2 There is no screen protector provided Where you guys get yours?
Physical kiosk is very late or perhaps not going to offer M2P becoz not as high demand as iPhone/Sammy/Oppo/Vivo/Xiaomi...
Get from online retailers:
Did you buy the M2P offline? If yes, then, this is the best moment to experience the first purchase thru online platform. PM me if you need guidance...

Got it through online, among other things. Did browse through online retailers for the SP after finding out no SP provided by Asus. Summore Gorrila 6 not really more scratch resistant than 4 or 5.
The concerns are just the delivery time, and the delivery charge more than the SP itself
Tempered glass should be purchased at least 2 units. One unit extra for backup or in case the 1st one did not applied properly. In Shopee, most sellers offer free shipping if ordered more than RM40. So, get ur family members and friends to order other stuff/TG for their phone(s).
However, if we want way cheaper options with free delivery, Taobao or AliExpress should be the place to go...ETA is beyond 2 weeks though...
Really hate the double triple name One for normal phone, one for WhatsApp, and a third one of the person has telegram or such That's when I chose show all contacts,
But if I don't choose all contacts, the names "combined", but the WhatsApp option disappears
Previous phone ,when I add a contact/number, the normal msg, call, WhatsApp n such falls under one entry. Not separated like this.
Merging won't work.merged all. The system just separates them again under different entries for dif apps.
How to make them falls under the same entry again?
In terms of Contact library, I only use Gmail account as the primary or centralized hub/database.
Meaning, EVERY TIME a brand new contact is received / created, I will save it under Gmail account and nothing else.
By doing this as a habit, it is easier to change phone or transfer contacts to another Android/iOS/Windows devices. No matter which device we use, all contacts are sync harmoniously...
Now, if we did not practice this, then, it'll be a PITA to find which contact is NOT saved into Gmail account. It'll be a headache process.
Hopefully someone can suggest an app or more automated way(s) to handle this kind of "bugs".
I'm also using gmail account. But the annoying thing is not duplicate accouns.
It's like there is 1 entry for number Then another entry for if that number has WhatsApp And another if there is telegram etc Instead of combining everything under one info
Maybe the "stock" android experience. Because discoverd the contacts app/icon for other brands are some sort of modified, and availability of 3rd party contact apps that highlight the combine function

p/s : the above is on my LeMoto P2 Contact app which might be slightly different interface than M2P...
If the contact list still duplicated, meaning something not right in the Gmail address book.
If we set only Gmail option, we might not see those contacts that are not properly saved in Gmail address book.
There is a "bug" (which still exist till today...) whereby the first time buy a new Android phone, when we try to save the very first new contact, it won't be saved in Gmail account because the default contact manager will save it inside the phone storage. So, ensure to change the option into Gmail when we save the very first contact in a brand new phone. Only subsequent saving afterwards all contacts will be automatically saved into Gmail forever...

Different interface altogether. Also different than the Xiaomi I used before.
Did some checking and it seems it's a common problem for this "stock" contact app
Edit: it's not duplicated. It's that it has multiple entries for contacts which has different social media account. Instead of showing them under one entry
Example Ali. It shows his number Ali. It show his WhatsApp msg options Ali. It show his telegram Abu. It shows his number Abu. It shows WhatsApp etc etc
There is an option which only shows one entry for Abu and Ali. But then the WhatsApp/telegram option will disappear
