the pros:
longer life span batt~
can use bigger size batt if u wan play amp+good sound system~
ur front tire's wear n tear lesser since sum weights already transfer 2 d rear~

the cons:
ur boot's space got smaller~
must fix properly other wise u'll encounter batt water over flow in ur car n rust~

why would the battery have a longer life span? care to elaborate on that?
as per weight distribution, perhaps but i don't think there would be much impact to the car's handling characteristics though.

i'm rather concerned with the type of battery to be used for such a battery re-location as batteries contain chemicals and it might be dangerous to inhale any chemical gasses from them.

the heat in the engine bay MIGHT shorten the lifespan(but boot tarak ventilation, so duno)
you wont know the effects when things get heated up

erh, what are you afraid of, its just acid and lead, and its sealed what tongue.gif

err.. cabin and rear trunk ain't really sealed off rolleyes.gif and um.. overflow of acid from the battery (if it's a wet cell) due to sloshing around while driving.. can cause rusting of the trunk later sweat.gif and afraid there may be discharge of chemical gasses hmm.gif

sloshing of wet cell's acid in the front engine compartment will cause the chemical gasses to ignite the wires there
after a while the terminals will be discharging the electricity to nearby metal parts
then your ECU will started to act funny, and eventually caught fire
