WTA something, I sdh fail first psv exam about 1 week ago. In the room got someone's said the exam question was leak. He study the answer from a webpage. He no read the JPJ booklet but only read the answers from the webpage.
Many of us fail because of the question and answer are so confused. We know what to do when that setuation happen. But in the exam we confused and chose the wrong answer only.
Any here have the link? Thanks.

This is what you are looking for:
https://digfintech.blogspot.com/p/link-penting.html?m=1

I'm sorry you failed, do study the above and try again. It is actually a well known webpage that has been around for more than half a year that helped many e-hailing drivers pass their exam. The questions and answers in this webpage are not exactly the same as in the actual exam, but it narrows down the topics for you to focus on.

I claim through Grab wallet. Can use for Grab rides, benefit fellow drivers.

only borderline? RM65 fare (RM52 after deduct commission, i.e. what you see in your pocket) for 50+ km to the airport from most places in PJ and northern parts of KL. But no matter how cheap....most drivers don't ever put KLIA in their avoid location list.

FYI we also have our own SkyBUS to the airport. only RM 15 (and RM8 if you are a senior 50+ person) from some very popular shopping malls (1 Utama, Paradigm, KL Sentral).
*
Then I'm those rare ones who put KLIA into my avoid places. Not worth it.

Dear Seniors, may i asked how much change money do you prepare everyday ? RM 100 enough in different denomination?
*
I prepare this amount of 'float' cash at the start of each driving day.
RM1 x 20
RM5 x 6
RM10 x 6
RM20 x 4
RM50 x 1
This way I have never ran out of loose change. There are days when pax give mostly loose change, so I save them up to use as float. I keep my float cash separate from the cash that I use for daily expenses like food.

Previously I prepared less float and there was once I received RM50 eight times by afternoon, which exhausted all my loose change. I then had to go find ways to break up all my big notes, wasting time and losing the opportunity to earn fares.

GrabExpress Car launching what do you all think?
*
I don't think there will be much things that need sending at this time using GrabExpress. Most Grab business is now in GrabFood. And that comes with some brief contact with other people, the restaurant workers and customers you deliver to.

Sharing how I do my e-filing for the past few years. I try my best to file it correctly to the best of my knowledge, but not guaranteed is the correct way. Some parts I'm not 100% sure. So far haven't been called up by LHDN to query my filing. REFER TO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

As a full time Grab driver, I file under Form B (e-B) as business income. But first, I use paper to work out my profit & loss statement and balance sheet. I will use hypothetical figures below as example.

In your Grab annual statement's first page, Net Earnings is your Income from Grab. Net Earnings are your fares plus incentives minus commission.

PROFIT & LOSS STATEMENT (Year of Assessment 2019)
Income from Grab 100,000 (A)

Less Cost of Sales
(your costs directly related to earning your Grab income)
Fuel - 16,000 (B)

Less Expenses
(your business expenses indirectly related to earning your Grab income)
Repairs & maintenance 5,000 ( C )
Road tax 40 (D)
Motor insurance 1,000 (E)
Car depreciation 8,000 (F)
(20% over 5 years)
Total expenses - 14,040 (G), ie ( C )+(D)+(E)+(F)

Net profit 69,960 (H), ie (A)-(B)-(G)

Note:
1) In year 2020, you file income tax for Year of Assessment 2019 (abbreviated as Y/A 2019), ie the income you earned in 2019.
2) I use my own car. For those who rent from Grab, your rental fee will already have been shown deducted in your Grab statement, so your rental costs will not be included in (B) or (G), or else you will double-count.

Next, work out your balance sheet related to your Grab business. Your asset is the car you bought, which you use for Grab driving. Cars are depreciated straight-line for 5 years, ie 20% depreciated per annum. Even if you use it for more than 5 years, under accounting rules, it is still depreciated over 5 years.

BALANCE SHEET (Year of Assessment 2019)
Car purchase price (bought in 2018) 40,000
(excluding road tax and insurance)
Balance brought forward 32,000 (in Y/A 2018 you had deducted 8k depreciation from your car price)
Depreciation 20% for Y/A 2019 - 8,000 (F)
Balance carried forward 24,000 (I), ie 32k - 8k

------------- This part is the online filing of e-Form B in ez.hasil.gov.my ---------------

---- STATUTORY INCOME AND TOTAL INCOME ----

Statutory income from businesses 100,000 (A)
Business losses brought forward 0
Aggregate income 100,000
Less: Other deductions - 30,040 (B)+(G)
Total Income (Self) 69,960 (H)

---- DONATIONS ----
---- DEDUCTIONS ---- 20,000 (J)
This two sections you fill in as appropriate to your situation.
Your contributions to life and medical insurance, EPF and SOCSO can be included in DEDUCTIONS, hence reducing your chargeable income.

---- TAX SUMMARY ----

Total Income 69,960 (H)
Total relief - 20,000 (J)
Chargeable Income 49,960

After this, the system will automatically work out for you how much income tax you have to pay.

---- PARTICULARS OF BUSINESS INCOME -----

Losses carried forward 0
Business capital allowances carried forward 16,000 (Y/A 2018 depreciation of 8k + Y/A 2019 depreciation of 8k)

---- FINANCIAL PARTICULARS OF INDIVIDUAL (MAIN BUSINESS ONLY) ----

Name of business: Self Employed Driver
Business code: 49224
Type of business activity: Taxi operation and limousine services

TRADING, PROFIT AND LOSS ACCOUNT
Sales or turnover 100,000 (A)
Less
Opening stock 0
Purchases and cost of production 16,000 (B)
Closing stock 0
Cost of sales - 16,000 (B)
Gross Profit/Loss 84,000
Expenses
Repairs and maintenance 5,000 ( C )
Other expenses 9,040 (D)+(E)+(F)
Total Expenditure 14,040 (G)
Net Profit/Loss 69,960 (H)

BALANCE SHEET
Fixed Assets
Motor vehicles 24,000 (I) this is your car's depreciation carried forward balance

Wait.... Am I reading this correctly or did you assume car depreciation as a cost?? Did you file your tax doing that?
*
Yes I have been filing my income tax this way since I started Grab driving. I didn't hire accountant to calculate income tax for me, I just read up on the internet! That's why I put disclaimer, only info sharing, for those who were asking how to file income tax as Grab driver.

Car bought for business purpose is not eligible for 20% capital allowance meh? I bought it just for Grab use and I estimate 99% of its mileage was while Grabbing.

i been doing Crab in KL during this CMCO. I noticed the fares are exceptionally low !! So many RM5 fares, and TBB is low or not given even during MP hours. I understand that now no surge fares is it because no traffic jam? Demand is also so poor..have to wait sometimes 45mins to 1 hour just for 1 miserable RM8 ping. I expect after this more ppl lose their jobs and more Crab drivers on the road. Srsly Crab needs to increase the fare. We are in year 2020, everything is expensive and increasing in price except Crab fare.,.are they scared of MyCar>? MyCar is nowhere close in terms of competition. End up driver lose out. Thankfully petrol is cheap now..if not..gone case.
*
There is very low demand from passengers, hence few pings. Even when fares are cheap, the public are not enticed to take Grab rides. Basically, many people are not commuting to work, they are working from home or their employers are not operating during MCO. No use expecting Grab to raise its fare rates, just accept it. During high demand time they also kept fares low, what more when demand is now very low.

Hi guys, my roadtax expired soon, car also going to pass 3 years, wanted to ask about the puspakom inspection, do tinted need to remove?
*
Depends how dark is your tint. Your front windscreen needs to allow at least 70% visible light transmission (VLT). ie 70% of light can pass through. Your front door windows need to allow at least 50% VLT. Your rear door windows and rear windscreen need to allow at least 30% VLT.

Hi everyone,

Currently i am facing an issue when I wanted to renew my road tax. I was a Grab driver before the introduction of the mandatory PSV license. Since then, I have not registered myself under the new license and did not drive since then. However, when I want to renew my roadtax after paying my insurance, the JPJ officer said that I am not able to renew due to e-hailing status.

Is anyone facing this problem and how can I renew my license ? As I am not planning to continue to be the e-hailing driver
*
It could be Grab successfully applied EVP (E-hailing Vehicle Permit) for your car without your knowledge. Go to your driver app and check under settings, personal information, to see if an EVP number is there. If you have EVP, your car if older than 3 years will not be able to renew road tax without Puspakom inspection. If that's the case, you need to fill in a form in driver app to request Grab to cancel your EVP.

Anyone here can share their annual ehailing insurance panel, price and what type of car?

Mine expiring soon, looking for etiqa takaful replacement, since now it doesn't support annual anymore.
*
Mine is Axia insured by Allianz for comprehensive cover. Sum insured 23k, premium before NCD is 905, add-ons of annual e-hailing 122, windscreen 127 and special perils (eg flood damage) 58. Figures here are before service tax and stamp duty.

I don't think so, have to go through their agent. You go to Allianz customer service counter they also won't sell to you.

Any Grab service can carry as many people as the car has seat belts for. eg 5 seat belts = 1 driver and 4 passengers.
