Aruz just killed her sister's prospects of finding a husband then 🤣.

Back to the spare tyre... I snooped around... A few of my pals who uses 4x4 for real off road told me to be glad aruz is getting the chain fitment instead of the rod cage combo.

My car ETA to arrive next week 😅🤩

First of all, congrats!!! We would like to hear your feedback once you taking it to stroll around, mine still in the queue waiting for my turn though.

And by the way, i believe toyota rush's presence is just to stir the market, pulling some crowd from X70 and BRV, and also testing the water of consumer's sentiment. Afterall both are UMW's child, and both are born from the same factory, having a sister car in perodua badge that is cheaper will surely seal the fate for rush, it makes me wonder how the ratio of rush to aruz gonna be on the road, probably like 1:9 or could be even worse.

Proton use clarion ma... Perodua... I have no idea...seem like some generic China radio ...
*
perodua does use clarion.... myvi 1st gen is on clarion HU, yet the speaker sucks. i don't know what is the brand they use for new gen of HU though. i always enjoy the stock infotainment on proton than perodua, not to mention also the ride and handling of proton cars, but then..... proton's reliability, fc, we all know la.....

then he paid a pricey mod for a new car, that "Ruz" is with L shape LED DRL. Which is different from Aruz's LED position light.

Apart from the branding, still got other differences.

Rush: 103hp, automatic air con, blind spot monitor, panoramic View Monitor with four cameras.

Also, its Toyota brand, the accessories for service also different, service center also different.
*
that's why i said they willing to pay for the brand.

Just received a confirmation this Morning that I will get my Aruz by next week Thursday.

As this is the first time I've bought a new car, any tips and advice on things that I need to do when I fetch the car soon?
*
go through the checklist with your SA, they should have a list of items to check. And, do get yourself involve in the validation process as some SA they tend to do it in a very cincai way.

Thank for reply , i was follow that sticker by 34 in front 36 at back , then 3 ppl drive from sandakan to kota kinabalu , can feel rear bumpy when hitting small hole that i can not avoid even passing slow down yellow line also can feel .
*
personally felt that the tyre pressure is slightly bumped up to achieve the good fc during test. You can consider to reduce like 1-2psi when you have low sitting capacity. It should be better.

How's the aruz perform during the hill road stretch around kinabalu park, OK? WIll the car feel underpower?

Yes it was underpower, when meet up with big lorry uphill at 20~30 km/h ,really need good distent to pass them, in my case auto gear 2 at 4k rpm to do it.
And all perodua car like axia bezza myvi alsa potong my car at uphill
*
seems like a bit slow.... probably your aruz still new, so it could be better once the engine pass break in period. hopefully.
i do know the gear ratio of aruz is higher to compensate the heavier body and bigger wheels, just didn't expect it can be slayed by axia. laugh.gif

Yesterday tried fill air on tyre , 32 front 32 rear, feel like more bumpy n swing ...omg
*
omg, usually inflate lower pressure should be softer as the tyre able to flex more under bumps. probably just stick back to the factory recommended pressure then. can't help with the bumpy characteristic due to the ladder frame architecture of aruz.

So to all the owners who have already received their cars and driving it, what is the overall verdict?
Recommended to get? The lack of power is acceptable? I am thinking of making a booking by this month.
In comparison, I drove a relative's 2.0 Nissan Serena yesterday. Gawd, the acceleration is worse than the Aruz.
*
really? probably you need to put it in numbers. I sit in my friend's serena and it feels way more powerful than i thought it could. It's better than an alza to make the comparison.

I tested aruz but not on the 0-100, the acceleration from stationary is good for aruz, after that, you don't expect oomph even you step on the throttle. But then, it shouldn't be so oomph as it is not a sport suv, it is a 7 seater family type suv. Mau oomph, pay another 20k for TGDI 5 seater base line X70.

Yes, Aruz acceleration from 0-60 is qutie good, but the moment it hit 60 it might drag a bit because the gearbox might have moved into 4th gear by that time, or earlier.

I find the Aruz to be a very rev-happy engine (easily revs even when not flooring the pedal), so some might mistake that as the engine not powerful enough to drive the car, when in reality its actually trying to get into the sweet spot for torque asap.
*
true true. anyway i can have a wild guess that you are a lil bit sporty on the throttle. as you mention rev happy. brows.gif

how's the fc of your aruz so far? penang island right? bayan lepas area?

if you book aruz now, the waiting period will be as short as 4 weeks (X variant), and as long as 12 weeks (AV variant). So hot in demand? Or simply shortage of material?

Perodua only targets 2500 unit per month, plus probably 500 unit for toyota, just a mere 3000 unit. Impossible that Perodua unable to ramp their production to higher output as Aruz able to contribute a very good number of revenue? Hmmmm.....

Haha, I was a former Proton Inspira driver  tongue.gif .

FC is quite alright, around 10-11 km/l for Bayan Lepas/Greenlane Area. I haven't try highway driving yet.

FC is just slightly worse than what I was getting with the Inspira (city 11-12 km/l, highway 15-16 km/l). For the weight and stuff the poor Myvi engine has to carry, I think its quite alright.
*
haha.... aruz will tame you down, or probably turn you into a rough terrain driver (aruz body able to handle some abuse due to ladder frame construction). hehe....

probably the fc will improve after 10k service. but then, the fc is good, bayan lepas & greenlane is evercrowded and also the bunch of traffic lights.

aruz will be pretty handy especially coming to flash flood. we will laughing on other cars when the road is flooded. those who live at jalan p ramlee should buy an aruz. laugh.gif
