QUOTE(Adrian_Alastair @ Mar 7 2019, 09:23 AM) Anyone else having difficulty logging into their DIGI app on Android? Updated to latest version. QUOTE(PJng @ Mar 7 2019, 09:53 AM) Latest apps not using connect acc? I cannot log in MyDigi app v8 onwards you have to register a new account. You will be sent a TAC during registration. Not using the old Connect system anymore. This post has been edited by tympg: Mar 7 2019, 09:58 AM

I just updated the MyDigi app for someone else's phone.
It's a Nokia 1 running Android Go 8.1. Man, this app is crawling like a snail on this Android Go phone. Of course the low-end specs (only 1GB RAM for example) of this under-RM200 phone doesn't help.

QUOTE(jkngo2003 @ Mar 7 2019, 02:13 PM) Can someone tell me is this unlimited digi content? What is the speed? Any block like block PvP download. Torrent? 3g or 4g speed? Can do tendering hotspot? I only know it's capped at 3 Mbps. QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 7 2019, 02:19 PM) I have a question, I have Digi Prepaid Best 2016 and with a balance of RM 82 at the moment. It is inactive as I only extend 1 day validity every 70-75 days to keep the no. Now my best friend is coming to Malaysia and I plan to lend her this prepaid no. for her usage in Malaysia. She will be here for two weeks and with the credit balance there is no issue for me to subscribe either weekly or monthly data plan. My question will be, can I extend 1 day validity and then subscribe to any of these plans? I want to make use of the existing balance without reloading my credit again. I saw the validity options, there are only 1 day and 180 days, there is no 30 days validity... Any idea how? Edited post for clearer plan information. After buying the 1-day extension, buy the 30-day add-on of 5GB + 30GB @ RM30. This add-on has the Always Active feature which will extend the validity on its own. This is the cheapest plan with Always Active.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 7 2019, 03:11 PM) Sounds good, I will look into this option. Thanks! Just another question, so this will also allow her to use remaining balance for calls right? I will assume the Always Active feature is not just for data. Yes, can make calls direct from the credit while active.

I believe Digi is starting afresh with the new login database, ditching Connect, is because they wanted to move away from paying Telenor money for the use of Connect.
Also, Connect had its fair share of problems and glitches since its introduction a few years back. I remember Digi users complaining about various issues when Connect started. Initially very slow I remember because Connect was wholly based in Europe.

Clearly, v8 app works well on some devices and not on others. There's no lag on my phone but I've seen it struggle on other people's phones. The app needs to be more lightweight or else you're going to continue getting user complaints. QUOTE(chkwong @ Mar 9 2019, 10:20 AM) I have 3 lines under my name. ... NOW, the new digi app, when you login with any of the number, you can see all other lines. This is a security issue. I guess now you're not supposed to let other people see any of your numbers. QUOTE(potatocam @ Mar 9 2019, 10:00 AM) Anyone facing this kind of issue when login this morning? This looks they were making adjustments in the backend server rather than this being an app issue.

QUOTE(chkwong @ Mar 10 2019, 08:05 AM) I am not using all 3 lines. The other 2 lines are for my family members and they are NOT supposed to see other lines. Otherwise they will mess up the other lines settings and prepaid packages. The digi CS have acknowledged this is an issue with the new app when i reported this earlier. And they said they can't do anything at moment to fix this as they said it's the new app functionality. Prrfffh. I would say that the security situation has actually IMPROVED as you are now not supposed to let other people see your line details. The solution is to register the line to the person using it. Simple.

QUOTE(chkwong @ Mar 10 2019, 10:02 AM) All 3 lines are registered under my name. Unless they hv my email id login, they are not supposed to see all 3 lines. Then transfer ownership for the relevant lines.

What I would like Digi to introduce is a plan like Yoodo; the ability to change every month the amount of calls and data depending on the user's needs.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Mar 11 2019, 08:21 AM) Can use the same email address for different number? I think i tried but it says email address registered. If someone else is already using that email address for another Digi line, of course cannot. If two numbers were registered under the same IC, then it is under the same email.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Mar 11 2019, 08:42 AM) I have 2 postpaid and 5 prepaids all under my name You should already see all your lines when you log in to one of the numbers in MyDigi v8. Effectively already under one email.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Mar 11 2019, 09:27 AM) I didnt confused myself...but now even confusing d.. Initially i wanted to register all my lines under the same email address cause i lazy to create email address. I didnt even know the new feature can see all lines. So u were saying, in other words, if you want the lines to able to see each other need to register using the same email right? But then you said cannot use same email Btw I noticed it only works for POSTPAID as for PREPAID need to have TAC for verification before can add the line to view it. Where as for POSTPAID only need to key-in the IC number without any verification needed. Perhaps ask them to send TAC as well so the primary (account holder) can verify whether the other lines are allowed to view other lines or not. 1 user -> 1 IC -> 1 unique email -> 1 or many lines. No one else can use that same email.

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Mar 11 2019, 08:35 PM) There's two digi? I went to the one in front of Roti Boy. The proper centre run by Digi themselves has the words Digi Store (and no "Express") at the main entrance.

QUOTE(Hummingbird @ Mar 13 2019, 11:35 AM) I guess the bare minimum should just be given to the 3G to just sufficient to carry the voice, and 2G should be outrightly shut down. If 2G is shut down a lot of dual-SIM phones cannot run two networks concurrently.

QUOTE(kyxxx @ Mar 13 2019, 11:54 AM) currently i'm using Digi RM53 plan (from long time ago) as i got my company phone and new number, i just wanna keep my digi number, but paying RM53 a month for nothing is wasteful. wanna ask what is the cheapest postpaid plan i can utilize to minimize my spending? Maybe you want to port out to OneXOX; 28 months validity straight away, if you're not actively using your Digi number for now.

QUOTE(prosibu @ Mar 13 2019, 11:55 AM) ask government free out the 700mhz would be faster than thinking of shut down 3G and 2G Speaking of 700 MHz, what happened to the Band 28 auction that was supposed to have taken place in 2018? MCMC is very quiet on this.

QUOTE(Hummingbird @ Mar 13 2019, 01:58 PM) I think that is not a concern for telco. Those who use dual sim with one only for 2G probably are not a huge source of revenue for telco... In the end, MCMC will have the final say. The individual telco cannot unilaterally shut down 2G without the permission of the central regulatory body.

QUOTE(joshhd @ Mar 13 2019, 05:55 PM) Well yeah. But it is better to double check on that phone before buying. That's called dual 4G phone, meaning both SIMs can operate in LTE. Another thing to make sure is, it is better to buy a dual 4G SIM phone that can supports VoLTE on both SIM 1 and 2 as well. You're so eager to shut down 2G. Unfortunately for you, you're not the decision maker. MCMC is the authority. And they won't let the telvos shut 2G down just yet. At least not for the next few years.
