Hi Jiansheng, is there such option? coz i heard 1mil coverage is the minimum nowadays. If it's possible I would have to act quick to cancel within the free look period as I already took the package.
*
MediSafe Infinite+ comes with the option of RM5k, RM10k, RM30k deductible hence I was surprised that your agent proposed for you to cancel your previous medical card.

Do check with him and see what he propose.

If you would still like to proceed with Allianz along with the deductible options we can work something out.

Life 100k
36 CI 50k
Early CI 50k
Medical RB200 with no LL

waiver

Wanna find out if there are any better options out there?
*
Sure there is, it all depends on how you define better?

Lower premiums same coverage?

Lower premiums better coverage?

Higher premiums better coverage?

And if those sum assured is the correct figure for you.. has the agent explained to you why you life and CI coverage is rm100k?

Anyone got dr that can recommend chiro as the treatment?
*
The chiro treatment is for post hospitalisation. It is a pay and claim.

*
Need to be registered with the relevant authorities and it is the life assured duty to prepare relevant proof that the practitioner is registered.

For policy holder, please refer to your policy for the details. It is quite comprehensive.

Discharge from the hospital or after day-care Surgery.

I am more curious why patient would go against doctor advise.

QUOTE(Gaza @ Aug 19 2019, 05:14 PM)
hi, i currently have allianz medical card (1m annual limit, no lifetime limit) with rm80k life insurance with CI & early CI.

i’m a 32 year old male smoker and i’m looking for life insurance to protect my wife & son in case anything happen to me so they can have some emergency funds like maybe rm200k-300k.

after doing some reading i think term life insurance is the one i should go for because i’m not looking for cash value to offset higher insurance cost like those medical card. but my main concern for taking term life is let’s say after 10 years if my health deteriorate the insurance can choose not to renew my life insurance? if i want guaranteed renewal have to take whole life insurance (with those cash value) is it?

thanks
*
You can check out those term insurance that covers more than 10 years.

Alternatively talk to your agent and find out how much extra does it cost you to increase your life coverage with your existing PowerLink.

Once you know the premiums, you can make your decision then.

Any advice for my dad who is retiring soon? He will need to get a medical card. Anything else?
*
If you're planning to get a medical card with no lifetime limit, look for one that provides a deductible option. This will help you manage the cost of premiums.

If your father does not have any more liabilities then a medical card is more then sufficient. This is assuming he has been building his best egg diligently over the years.

Next off is to look into estate planning.

Guys today I am having a ILP insurance covering for Death, TPD, CI & Medical card bought back in 2003. Coverage is about up to 50k for Death, TPD & CI.
Cover for medical card is 200k with limit up to only 50k pa.
I have recently heard about deductible. And in this case I understood that since my present medical card covers 50k; it would be optimal for me to get a deductible medical card with coverage up to 1.5m and deductible of 50k.
Anyone can advise if this is the best way to go in order to optimize medical card fees and coverage?
*
Possible however it depends on the premium on the newer plan.

Get your agent to do a comparison:

1) Maintain old plan and new plan with deductible (What's the premium)

And

2) If you upgrade to new plan without deductible (What's the premium)

Hi, would like to get some advice from the sifus here.
I’m planning to get a medical card for myself, but it seems like a good idea to get an all -rounder one. But after going through all the posts; it seems like it’s important to get a good agent. But the thing is currently I am based in kuala Terengganu and will be going to different states for the next 2 years . Does it matter if I were to purchase the premium in Terengganu and switch to another agent in the future?
And can I get like a example of quotation as to what I should be getting for myself?

I’m looking at Allianz / PRU at the moment
Thank you

I’m 33/Female/ non smoker/ medical doctor/ annual income about 120k
*
If you find a good agent, it doesn't really matter if you both are in the same location, he/she will still be able to assist you when the time comes.

Great to hear that Allianz is one of your main choice. When planning for your medical card it really comes down to the R&B as it will determine your annual limit.

These are a few highlights for Allianz medical card:

1) No overall lifetime limit & high overall annual limit of up to RM2.5mil

2) Flexible deductible options: 0, RM5k, RM10k or RM30k with retirement option at 60 years old (This will greatly help you to manage the premium you will be paying)

3) No claim benefits including No Claim Refund up to 20% of Cost of insurance paid for preceding year and No Claim Rewards of up to 50% increase in initial Hospital R&B benefit (No claim refund in layman term is something like a cashback so long you did not make a claim the previous year)

4) Extensive Cancer Coverage ( Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Targeted Therapy, Hormonal Therapy & Immunotherapy) including access to genomic testing

5) Global Expert Medical Opinion to help in your medical decision making

6) Lodger Benefit

Example of quote:
Option 1
- Life/TPD: RM5,000

- R&B200
-- Annual Limit: RM1,500,000
-- Lifetime Limit: None

Coverage term: until 80 years old
Premium: RM255/month

Option 2
- Life/TPD: RM5,000

- R&B200
-- Annual Limit: RM1,500,000
-- Lifetime Limit: None
-- Deductible: RM5k

Coverage term: until 80 years old
Premium: RM215/month

So you get the idea, the higher the deductible the lower the premium.

One thing I would like to highlight is that for Allianz the recommended coverage term is at least until 80 years old as the life expectancy in Malaysia is about 76 years old. However, you have the option to have a shorter or longer coverage term and this will indirectly affect the premium that you will be paying.

For your profile, the minimum coverage term would be until 60 years old and the max is until 100 years old. Using option 1 as an example your premium will then be either RM188/month or RM500/month.

You should also consider Life/TPD Insurance and Critical Illness Insurance.

Your personal insurance will form the foundation of your personal finance journey so it's great to see that you're taking action. Above is a very simple, straightforward and rational quotation for a medical card. If you have any further questions just post them here.

Best,
Jiansheng

thank you lifebalance, holocene and ckdenion for your replies!
i got a quotation for a RM 300 premium

Life /TPD 300k
CI (77) 50k
PA 100k
CIS 12.5k
R/B 200

but the term coverage is only 27 years.
i had another quotation that is

Life /TPD 200k
CI (77) 50k
PA 100k
CIS 12.5k
R/B 150
term coverage : 33 years

so what happens after policy ends?
*
Automatically renews at the end of the term to 100 years old. Premium will be based on the age at end of initial term.

So it's a pay now or later kind of scenario.

I'm assuming it's Allianz.. looks like Allianz.

Hi everybody,

I had an AIA A-lifelink plan previously and I got it when I was 29yo. This current plan has RM50K Death and TPD. RM125K Early CriticalCare and an A-Plus Med Plan 150 medical card of RM100K/year. The premium I serve is RM3000/year.

Just recently, I asked for a new plan from AIA agent and I got the following:

1. Current age: 34yo non-smoker;

2. A-Lifelink 2. Death and TPD: RM100K;

3. 39 Critical Illness Benefit: RM100K;

4. 92 Early Critical Illness: RM100K;

5. Medical Card A-Plus Health Plan 200: RM1.5M/year.

6. Premium of RM6200/year.

I have since get married and are currently supporting my wife and 1 baby. Would like to know if this plan reasonable for the costs and if any feedback. I was hoping to get a plan under 5000/year actually

Thanks
*
Do you know what is the coverage term for A-Lifelink 2?

Jiansheng

CI - 50k

possible to get RM300/month? I prefer to start low first, is it good? how long will the sustainability be, will insurance company price similar?
*
Based on those criteria you'll be looking at a premium starting at RM222/month. This will give you a coverage term (sustainability) of 28 years.

For RM300/month you'll be looking at a coverage term (sustainability) of 42 years.

I really want to say that Allianz has very bad customer service quality.

I sent them e-mail why I have premium due although I have fully paid every month.

First e-mail sent, they took 2 days to reply. They said will notify me once they have checked with other department.

It is now day 12 and I havent received their reply to answer me why....
*
Hi jack2,

Do let me know if you require further assistance on this matter.

Alternatively you can give the customer service a call, they will be able to answer your question on the spot. Sometimes it could be a cut off date issue as when they send out the premium reminder and when the system receives your premium.

Nolah. My premium is RM90 monthly and paid RM90. How could be there is RM1.30 due unpaid...

I got from their receipt. I used jompay paid RM90. How could they credited my account as RM88.70 only?

Use jompay got fee or they credit only on the net amount after fee?

I don't intend to use call as I know I will be waiting for very long for minutes. Hence, I prefer to use e-mail for non urgent matter but 12 days without replying me is unacceptable.

If you are Allianz insurance agent, do feedback to them. If not mistaken, this is not my first time to communicate with them by using email. If they are slow in replying, better opt-out the email option to let clients e-mail and inquiry.
*
Thanks for your feedback.

There are no fees charged for Jompay. This is peculiar.

Would suggest that you log into your customer portal and check out the payment history. Make sure payments are captured on a timely manner. Would you mind sharing the plan name?

I would suggest that you go further to inform Allianz of your experience here: https://www.allianz.com.my/talk-to-us

You have nothing to say?

What just give me impression that insurance co, when they need money, they will very fast. When comes to inquiry or issue to be checked, they are slow.

I need to emphasize again that I DID not expect them to reply my e-mail within hours. I know email is not the fast channel to be used. But waiting 12 days without response is not acceptable and this is considered as bad customer service support with bad co image.

If you concern about the co as the agents and you love the co, do go and provide feedback from improvements.

No feedback, no improvement and all lengan2 there sahaja.

I wish the CEO of the Allianz insurance is here to read about.

Let me know your policy number and name, I will escalate this matter to Allianz Management myself and I apologise for your experience thus far.
