In terms of look, battery cases are typically like this. Fugly is the right word.

The best Looking battery case i've came across previously for the X is the one from Moment. (pics attached)

The Cool thing about apple's one is... There is NO CHIN, unlike other third party cases and their older cases for IP8 and below.

No wonder they came out with the fugly battery case...

They replaced 11 million batteries last year (and they are blaming that for the poor iPhone sales)

yesterday i tried to charge my phone with tronsmart 18w(usb-c) adapter. it took only 97min to charge from 7%~100%. really fast compare to stock adapter which took 4hours+

luckily i search across the forum and found westlife said 29w pd is overkilled for iphone.
it saves my money.

wah..really 4 hours? I always charge overnight..therefore i have no idea how long it takes normally.

I thoguth all battery case should be wireless.. If not it will be even more funny with cable

Report: Apple developing new iPod touch, 2019 iPhones could switch to USB-C

According to a new report from supply chain blog Macotakara, Apple could be in the process of developing a revised iPod touch. Further, the report says the 2019 iPhone might make the jump to USB-C, just like the 2018 iPad Pros.

The report is rather vague, with Macotakara citing supply chain sources. Details on what changes a new iPod touch might feature are unclear at this point, but it is long overdue for an update. The 6th generation iPod touch was released in 2015 and for $199 with 32GB of storage.

Theoretically, an entry-level iPod touch would be a way for Apple to continue to grow its install base and thus its Services segment. Having more iOS users means there are more users able to pay for iCloud storage, use Apple Music, and use the App Store and iTunes Store. The iPod touch would likely target younger users who aren’t yet ready for a smartphone.

Apple discontinued the iPod nano and iPod shuffle in 2017, meaning the iPod touch is the sole iPod still sold by Apple today.

The report goes on to say that the 2019 iPhones “might” make the switch to USB-C, following in the footsteps of the 2018 iPad Pros. While we’ve heard scattered reports over the last several years that the iPhone would eventually adopt USB-C, details remain sparse.

Further, Macotakara says that “those who are working on” the iPhone’s USB-C transition indicate it has not yet reached the reference design stage. This could suggest that the transition will miss the 2019 iPhone refresh. Macotakara has a decent track record, but like most supply chain sources, can struggle with details such as timing.

Lol. u obviously misunderstood. What i meant was, the casing has wireless charging capability. . U can directly rest the case with the phone inside on any wireless charging pad and the phone and/or the case will be charged too. Not may battery cases out there has wireless charging capability.

To me, we can save our money from buying fast charging adapter and the bloody hell USB-C to lightning cable. I just use the original lightning cable and plug into the dedicated USB port (with battery icon which designed to draw high current for charging). I was able to charge my XR from 2% to 38% in 30 mins so its comparable to the fast charger and cable from Apple which will cost us about RM250. Different laptop brand may have different design on the charging capability, just try it out before you spend your hard earned money.

Which means if the case is on and you put it on a wireless charger, it will charge the case and not the phone right?

I think he means the charger will charge the case while the case will charge the phone since the case is connected to the phone.
