I also have one unit still functioning fine, however on its 3rd battery already. The original lasted 2+ years, then 3rd party battery about 1 year, and the current one also a 3rd party almost 1 year. So far the wife not complaining, so everything's good.

yeah. i still remember that's the time iphone can fetch scalper price at highest.

i managed to order a silver 64GB iphone 6 Plus from singtel (i wanted other colours but too hot so no choice, in fact the silver one want to get also very tough).

singtel last time always have 3-days launch event for iphone, i collected my iphone 6 plus at third day of the events. immediately i stepped out from the hall, there are buyers asking if i want to sell. if i sell it that time, there is a possibility to fetch sgd2k price. tongue.gif

after the first batch, people waited 3 months before they get their iphone 6 plus. tongue.gif

I too remember those days, it was selling like hot cakes. Any orders received by telco all spoken for. When it was time to upgrade, I went to Maxis KLCC, sure enough got maiting list. Frustrated, I just left. Then me and the family was window shopping in Sunway Pyramid and happen to see the maxis centre there. There was many people there but most of them already have bookings. I approached the saleperson and inquired. To my surprise, there were a bunch available and I got my 64gb ip6+ in space grey. I was soo chuffed.

Felt a bit of nostalgia after reading your post and dug this out, hahaha. I bought from Maxis Pyramid too back then.

With the prices of iPhones so high and the rise of Android flagships recently, sadly the iPhone hunting experience is a thing of the past for us smile.gif

My 1st iphone was the ip4. I clearly remember that fine morning, it was a thursday, and I was on the reserve list. I had to skip office in the morning and headed straight to the Gardens. Arrived just before 9am and had a shock of my life as the queue have already started all the way till the carpark. Damn, reached maxis centre just before 1pm. It was an experience. Once the ip4 was in the hands, all those fatigue, etc went away. I still have the unit and its in working condition with IOS7 albeit crappy battery though.

Yup iphone 4/4s is my favourite now in terms of design.

I still have the working iphone 4 and 4s.

iphone 4/4s are the phones that I started to agree that phone can replace point-to-shoot camera in terms of photo quality which I stop using it after I use these phone models. 😜

Hahaha, I was there too! The wait was so long and the crowd management was so bad that I got pissed off and went downstairs to the DiGi outlet and ported out and got my iPhone 4 the next day. It was a decision I would come to regret for the next 2 years during my contract with DiGi coz their coverage was inferior back then!

Some areas probably has shitty reception but no other telco can beat their infinity plan as of yet.

I am using both the Anker powerwave 7.5 pad and stand. Bought the pad first and then a week later the 7.5 stand.  So far no issues. Both came with the 18w QC charger but the pad comes with a 3 pin. The stand came with a 2 pin spade. Also the power cable is twice as long for the stand than the pad and is typical Anker heavy duty fashion. Both have internal fans, that comes on when its charging, which are also quiet, maybe cause its still new, let see when it has aged abit.

I prefer the stand than the pad at the moment, simply because the ability to be upright. More useful. However price wise its RM245(Stand) and RM185(pad). Also with the pad, positioning is critical as placement of the XR must be about centre. Offset a bit and it will not charge.
*
Anker is definitely one of the recommended brands, it's just that I'm looking for those legit 7.5w charging pads that also charges multiple devices since I've got the watch & airpods.
Let's just say if a qi charger supports to 10w (obviously for android only at the moment), would apple just limit the charge to 5 watts only or 7.5 watt?
Is there an app that measure the charging rate?

The best part was not getting service during bad weather and calling the customer service thereafter to hear them say "Memang macam ni"
