hey fellas, 1st time ios user here and just bought the yellow 128GB yesterday. a quick question, the bundled earphone should work correctly when plugged in, right?

i can’t seem to get it working even though in music, gaming or even youtube, haven’t tested the 3.5mm dongle though.

sorry if it’s a repeated or stupid question btw. much appreciated if anyone could share their experience. i wonder if the bundled accessories are covered under warranty.

30mins to go before the store opens, i was browsing for the earpods prices and my God, those cheap looking earpods is expensive! 😅

anyways, does the iphone supports certain headsets when connected with the dongle? or any will do?

went to service centre, great CS thus very pleasant experience, now need to wait 17 working days to claim the earpod 😅

yep, 5w bodo charger, lightning cable, headphone dongle & earpod, others bought xr didn’t include all this?

day 3 with ios, typing is delightful, reading text is less straining to my eyes, everything is fluid. but the thing i hate the most is transferring files to this phone...uugh

if u don’t mind the lcd screen, 3GB RAM and single camera lens, i say go for it!

imho, this xr will definitely serve me more than a year. decent battery capacity, great lcd screen (of course can’t compare with oled 😅) and currently the most powerful A12 chip. good camera too not to mention

apart from the xr, i’ve also bought 7+ for my wife. i’ll be more than happy if it lasts for more than 2 years, in terms of software support.

anyways, i’ve recently installed cpu-x, and noticed RAM usage has been over 80% most of the time thus using the app, cleaned the RAM.

is it really necessary to clean it up just like android phones?

weird bug which is easily solved by turning on and off airplane mode

well, so far after a month owning it, only happen once. and never happened again until now. i did restart the phone after that btw, weird bug indeed

seems most major dealer like senheng, courts and even telco carriers doesn’t have stock for xr, thus i opted for a local seller which offers 3699 for the 128GB version.

well, that’s before raya holiday’s news...

yesterday i dropped my phone flat on its front and chipped the edge, luckily only the screen protector is, not the screen itselft....phew!

time to get another one, just using the regular fully covered front tempered glass

anyone already upgraded to 12.4?

for those opting for tempered glass SP, please opt for the full coverage. after 2 months owning this phone, the screen survived flat faced against rough concrete floor (chipped at the edge), and now chipped at the bottom while being stacked under few stuffs inside the scooter compartment.

can't imagine if i used the normal front coverage only

anyone can recommend cases which the bottom openings face the speaker upwards ?

i bought one TPU case from China at Shopee, not bad quality, and wonder whether there are more premium ones out there. would like to try one

let me share my experience with you, if i may.

previously i have a galaxy s9 before sold it and had the chance to compare it side by side with the xr for couple of days. the difference is noticeable, not gonna lie if compared side by side. amoled screen with higher resolution beats lcd any day anytime hands down.

but after few while selling it and using just the xr, i didn’t even notice the screen inferior whatsoever. watching youtube, playing pubg, fortnite and watching 1080p resolution movies / series looks great.

bottom line or tldr version, xr lcd screen does the job well done. no complaints 👍🏻
