Hi Everyone: As per topic above, I would like to get your feedback on the Bridgestone Turanza T005A. From what I had Googled this tyre is a comfortable and silent, not performance. With our roads in Malaysia, I am looking for a comfortable and silent tyre. The sizes were outlined in this page https://www.sgcarmart.com/products/overview.php?ID=12438 My past experience was with Continental CSC5, Michelin Super Sports and Goodyear Eagle F2. These were amazing tires but poor lifespan and not as silent as it seems except for the F1. Please share your thoughts on this newly launched tyre.

My friend using on his honda city. Really quiet. Don't expect much for cornering if you are aggressive type
Mileage wise 40k km and still going

QUOTE(tkyong1 @ Jan 14 2019, 03:48 PM) i would like to know also. the price seems very good for this flagship tyres by BS. Turanza is not BS flagship model. It's Potenza S001 and their RE series (RE003, 050). Turanza is their mid range comfort line up, similar to Michelin Primacy series.

Ah guys, didn't remember I started this topic until someone replied. Well, I am going to share my experience with this tyre. I am using a 245/40/18 real slim profile tyre on my CC and am extremely please with it's quietness. Handling wasn't that perfect and I am trying to get used to it. Don't get me wrong about the handling because my previous tyres were Michelin PSS, Goodyear Eagle F1, Bridgestone Potenza and Continental CSC5.
It took me a few days to get used to the silent tyre. I had to say I am impressed for the price I paid for, which is RM480 per piece compared to those UPH I mentioned above which costs more.

Maybe next time can consider cheaper UHP tires like Hankook V12E2 which is about the same price as that T005. Performance definitely better than T005 coz it's rivaling or close to those top UHP tires you used before, yet the noise level is also pretty silent (tested at only 67db by Car & Driver magazine, which is rivaling those so called mid range comfort tires).

I do get mine at OS Autocare Shah Alam. They have good deals on the tyre pricing those not all inclusive (e.g. have to pay for credit card usage 2%, alignment costs).

Now I feel, continental and michelin line up is overprice Yeah if you're looking for mid-range comfort tires then this T005 seems like a very good value for money compared to Primacy 4 or CPC5. At this size, the T005 pricing is like lower tier brands price range even though BS is a premium brand equal to Michelin, Continental, etc2.

The past 5 years, i used: Micheline PS3, Yokohama DB V551, Hankook Prime 2, Continental MC5, and now Bridgestone T005A. I would said T005A is really value for money if compare dollar to dollar against the Michelin, Yokohama, and Continental. Worst is the Continental, mid range MC5 that time also selling so expensive. Not buying from Continental anymore.

I only change tires after 2-3 years and that's also already driving aggressively quite often using supposedly softer UHP tires. This post has been edited by 6UE5T: Jan 22 2019, 03:08 PM

You drive twice further than me then. 😁 My car year 2008 is still below 135k km.

My CSC5 & PSS were the worse... have to change after like 25K KM usage. Potenza at least 40K KM, Eagle F1 30K KM.
