i would like to know also.

the price seems very good for this flagship tyres by BS.

Turanza is not BS flagship model. It's Potenza S001 and their RE series (RE003, 050). Turanza is their mid range comfort line up, similar to Michelin Primacy series.

Ah guys, didn't remember I started this topic until someone replied. Well, I am going to share my experience with this tyre. I am using a 245/40/18 real slim profile tyre on my CC and am extremely please with it's quietness. Handling wasn't that perfect and I am trying to get used to it. Don't get me wrong about the handling because my previous tyres were Michelin PSS, Goodyear Eagle F1, Bridgestone Potenza and Continental CSC5.

It took me a few days to get used to the silent tyre. I had to say I am impressed for the price I paid for, which is RM480 per piece compared to those UPH I mentioned above which costs more.
*
Maybe next time can consider cheaper UHP tires like Hankook V12E2 which is about the same price as that T005. Performance definitely better than T005 coz it's rivaling or close to those top UHP tires you used before, yet the noise level is also pretty silent (tested at only 67db by Car & Driver magazine, which is rivaling those so called mid range comfort tires).

This tyre line up is very cheap wo. Now I feel, continental and michelin line up is overprice  doh.gif

Yeah if you're looking for mid-range comfort tires then this T005 seems like a very good value for money compared to Primacy 4 or CPC5. At this size, the T005 pricing is like lower tier brands price range even though BS is a premium brand equal to Michelin, Continental, etc2.

I do get mine at OS Autocare Shah Alam. They have good deals on the tyre pricing those not all inclusive (e.g. have to pay for credit card usage 2%, alignment costs).
*
Yup OS Autocare in general offers pretty competitive pricing.

Agreed.

The past 5 years, i used:

Micheline PS3,
Yokohama DB V551,
Hankook Prime 2,
Continental MC5,

and now Bridgestone T005A.

I would said T005A is really value for money if compare dollar to dollar against the Michelin, Yokohama, and Continental.

Worst is the Continental, mid range MC5 that time also selling so expensive. Not buying from Continental anymore.

Wah so fast change tires?? How many km you cover in a year? I only change tires after 2-3 years and that's also already driving aggressively quite often using supposedly softer UHP tires.

my car the past 5 years ran 140,000km already.

so roughly 40,000km / 2 years i changed tyres.

hankook were very short, used for 2 months only cause too noisy and one of the tyre side wall cracked in 2 months (very terrible, no more Hankook for me).
*
You drive twice further than me then. 😁 My car year 2008 is still below 135k km.

My CSC5 & PSS were the worse... have to change after like 25K KM usage. Potenza at least 40K KM, Eagle F1 30K KM.
*
My CSC5 lasted over 40k km and F1D5 over 50k km but I admit they're already below the tread indicator and almost bald! 😂

T005A and Primacy 4 now is priced almost the same for my size of 215/55/17. not much info on T005A, only T005 in youtube. but it seems T005 has better braking distance compared to P4, wet and dry. how about T005A? another thing to consider is, P4's performance lasts longer even with threadwear, how about T005a? as mentioned above, driving in rain with T005A is not very good compared to P4, but videos showing comparison between T005 vs P4, BS wins... very difficult to make a choice  bangwall.gif

Just pick whichever you can buy cheaper.
You should consider Goodyear Efficient Grip as well.

That's a very tiny price difference. If I were you I'll go for P4.

For my size though, both 2019 tires, BS could be had for RM310 while P4 for RM400 hence BS seems to be the much better deal.

T005A usually should be much cheaper than P4.
