Turanza is not BS flagship model. It's Potenza S001 and their RE series (RE003, 050). Turanza is their mid range comfort line up, similar to Michelin Primacy series.

hi bro, sorry i wrote is not clear, i mean flagship for their comfort tyres.

Ah guys, didn't remember I started this topic until someone replied. Well, I am going to share my experience with this tyre. I am using a 245/40/18 real slim profile tyre on my CC and am extremely please with it's quietness. Handling wasn't that perfect and I am trying to get used to it. Don't get me wrong about the handling because my previous tyres were Michelin PSS, Goodyear Eagle F1, Bridgestone Potenza and Continental CSC5.

It took me a few days to get used to the silent tyre. I had to say I am impressed for the price I paid for, which is RM480 per piece compared to those UPH I mentioned above which costs more.
*
HI bro,

the recent pricing of BS is really interesting. They are much cheaper than their competitors.

glad to see that.

looking at all the positive review, i am getting 4 pcs for myself today.

mine 235/45/R18, around RM440 i believe.

Yeah if you're looking for mid-range comfort tires then this T005 seems like a very good value for money compared to Primacy 4 or CPC5. At this size, the T005 pricing is like lower tier brands price range even though BS is a premium brand equal to Michelin, Continental, etc2.
*
Agreed.

The past 5 years, i used:

Micheline PS3,
Yokohama DB V551,
Hankook Prime 2,
Continental MC5,

and now Bridgestone T005A.

I would said T005A is really value for money if compare dollar to dollar against the Michelin, Yokohama, and Continental.

Worst is the Continental, mid range MC5 that time also selling so expensive. Not buying from Continental anymore.

Wah so fast change tires?? How many km you cover in a year? I only change tires after 2-3 years and that's also already driving aggressively quite often using supposedly softer UHP tires.
*
my car the past 5 years ran 140,000km already.

so roughly 40,000km / 2 years i changed tyres.

hankook were very short, used for 2 months only cause too noisy and one of the tyre side wall cracked in 2 months (very terrible, no more Hankook for me).

My CSC5 & PSS were the worse... have to change after like 25K KM usage. Potenza at least 40K KM, Eagle F1 30K KM.
*
I noticed that T005A yes is good absorbiing bumps and the handling is good consider it as touring tyres, but the noise is not as quiet as I expected.

What do you think Guanteik? What about your user experience after using the T005A for a while.

May be i am too picky..

The noise level was acceptable for me. It wasn’t as quiet as my Yokohama Advan DB used in my Accord in the past but compared to those all series I have used in my current ride, it’s all good.
The tyre is also well performed if your ride is relatively new which also means good condition mounts, struts, alignments etc
*
my experience with Yokohama Advan DB V551 (the older model) = it is more silent than T005a, but V551 i felt it harder when cruising over uneven road. T005a is more softer, and absorbing bumps better than the V551 in this area.

so far, the most comfortable tyres i had on my ride was the Hankook Ventus Noble 2, but sadly, the tyres side walls cracked like a razor in just couple months. The ride is superb, very subtle and silent, but the quality of the tyres seems bad. The treads almost badly worn in just couple months.

i just changed my 235/45/18 to T005 will try first and give out review later, currently using Hankok Prime 2 not really good so i think wont go back Hankok anymore

But i paid $500 per piece include everything, a bit high price compared to the above post
*
Your tire size same like mine, very difficult to find tires, choices are limited as well.

Honkook Prime 2 i used before, agreed, really no good. Noisy and wear is terrible.

Please do update us how your experience with your new T005 / T005A.

235/45/18 Size for a Honda Accord 2.4. It's not that hard to find plus not a special size.

235/40/18 is a special size, hard and expensive ones.
*
but choices are limited.

i prefer comfort tires, but those popular one no such size, example Michelin Primacy 4 ST, Yoko Advan DB V552 etc.

Ya can find but very limited choice and i am using it for my 2.4 Accord. in fact i found another shop want sell me Hankok noble 2 for Rm490/pc walao lucky i never change with them

Ok i will update after i use it for 1 -2 month
*
BRO,

mine also accord 2.4

i also used the Hankook Noble 2 before = very quiet and comfort, but the problem was it wear is very terrible, one of the tire side wall cracked opened in 2 months. no more Hankook for me.

490 for mid-range hankook, i will sure take 500 for top-range touring Bridgestone T005a, no need to think.

Bridgestone pricing is very good lately.

Just use my T005a so far is very happy with it, quiet, road grip is also ok... however I still need to test for at least a month

But i reduce my tyre pressure to 30psi as it is very bumpy for 32psi

totally agreed with you.

accord NVH and ride quality are the thing that really need improvement. The ride is really bumpy. I remembered the card came with PS3, a very good tires, but i end up trade in for touring tires cause it was so bumpy with PS3 in accord.

i m still running at 32psi.

hows the difference between 30psi and 32psi? any major differences?

Hi there, not much different between 30-32psi on 18inch tyre from my subjective experience. If inflated till 36-38psi , you may feel that the car lighter and turning sharper.

I believe some forumer put 280kpa@40.6psi on their 13 or 14inch tyre due to save fuel cost (load carrier@transporter) but i really not recommend it because of rubber lifespan and hot air grinding after friction, under some others condition that increase in pressure is enough to blown the tyre @@

Sry out of topic.

Bridgestone T005a is design more on quite and comfort ride. Pricing not bad too, is worth to buy =)

thanks for the info bro.

i have to agreed with you, Bridgestone pricing is very good if compare to its rivals Michelin and Continental.

I ask my tyre shop, he said 30psi not really good for tyre but is ok if I want also

30psi u will feel car is much soften and comfortable cos for accord is really bumpy for me haha
*
Yea, correct, the accord is really bumpy since day 1 lol.

i heard Yokohama Advan DB V552 really silent, but could not find it, shiould be expensive also.

QUOTE(Valentino46 @ Apr 9 2019, 04:59 AM)
i've changed mine last month,size 225/50/17 for 350 bucks a piece
i came from primacy 3st and before that,yokohama c drive 2
had done 3k km with my 8th gen accord, this tire is noticeably quieter than both my primacy and c drive if my memory serve me right
i tried several different air pressure ranging from 10kpa below to 10 kpa above the car recommended pressure,i find that this tire doesn't like being under-pressure,at just -10kpa ,the tire sway left right significantly when lane changing and cornering, its more happy being slightly over-pressured a bit, i suspect the side wall is significantly weaker than both the tire i mentioned prior.
this is completely the opposite of my primacy and cdrive which bumpy as hell if i overpressure them even just a bit, they prefer slight underpressure
with appropriate pressure dialed in,so far i find its pretty quiet,in fact the quietest tire i ever had, bumpiness more or less same as primacy, its quite grippy when you try load them up in the corner, but steering feedback is very poor, worse than primacy
note that the accord had stiffer suspension set up compare to your teana,in my experience stiffer suspension tend to exaggerate tire movement more than softer sprung one, like my e90 in the past, they just doesn't like soft tire very much.
*
This is real life real user experience, very appreciate your post.

Surprising T005A is quieter than Primacy ST. I always thought Primacy ST is one of the quietest tire out there (sad i no chance to try cause did not have my size).

Hai Guys. I drive a 8th Gen Accord 2.0. Rims have been changed to 18". Previously i used michelin primacy & ps3. Last month i changed my front tyre to BS T005a 235/45/18. My God... The noise, the handling and the braking. IMPROVED a lot.

I insist to change my front tyres to the same Michelin primacy. But the mechanic @ Genesis Auto Pandan Indah assured me that this tyre is better. I thought it's just a marketing stunt.

For as long as no other better tyres are produced, i will stick to this BS T005. Worth the money.
*
Hi bro,

I also intend to change my tires couple months later, thinking about either T005 or Primacy 4, cannot decide.

You mean the T005a is quieter and more comfortable than the Primacy ? Your input is very valuable to me, cause i really need a real life user comments. I prefer comfortable and quiet ride, handling not my issue cause i normally drive normal speed.

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Dec 6 2019, 08:04 PM)
Finally i made a bold move today, change my 16k mileage T005A to Primacy 4. I can't stand the impact and road roar caused by the stiff sidewall of T005 and hope for calmer and softer ride from P4, and it doesn't dissapoint me.

I actually slightly up size my tyre profile from 215/55/R17 to 215/60/R17 in the process.

1. Low frequency road roar reduce drastically on those coarse tarmac, and i barely can feel those tiny vibration from the steering. The vibration is obvious in T005. With the same speed, now wind noise become very obvious due to the tyre roar is silenced. Previously the road feedback from road imperfection is too much, the steering vibrate as if the balancing is off.
2. The additional 1cm thicker and softer side wall absorb most of the impact when hit the badly paved uneven surface. The Impact noise transmit to the cabin now is very subtle especially go through those thick yellow speed line.
3. Before that T005 is inflated 210kpa during cold, now P4 at 220kpa yet still comfort than T005.
4. Didn't test the braking power as indon't think will be much worse than that. Cornering to me most or less same as T005, no big difference.
5. Tread noise wise T005 have the upper hand due to the fine groove used. U can hear it when ride through a very smooth road, u can hear slightly more mid high frequency noise from P4 but isn't a big deal, to me low freq road roar is the big issue.

So for those u would like to know user experience from T005 and P4 comparison, here it is.
*
Thanks bro, this is the real user experience i has been looking for a long time.

Your information is very helpful for ppl that looking for both the above tyres.

Me also using T005A now, also plan to change to P4, but waiting for some real user experience. Yours contribution is just in the right time.

Thank you so much.

Actually is quite a big sacrifice in terms of money.

The T005A is RM380/pc when i change on April this year, after 16k i only able to trade in RM80/pc.

So 1st choice is very important, otherwise you will have to either stand with it until next tyre change or you burn money like me.
*
bro, mind to let know what is the price between T005A and P4 ?

I also intend to change soon.

Thanks in advance.
