exactly, but personally, i think ewallet payment quite convenient (excluding the benefits etc). just open up the app and let the cashier scan the code. no need to keep change esp those coins. in fact even faster than credit card. short and sweet.
Don't think it's faster than credit card if you consider the wave function. Also, e-wallet pmt can be delayed by both merchant and user:-
- certain merchant need to start the device, key in pmt type into their system, etc
- for user, need to key in pin, and also rely on internet connection
That day I wanted to use Boost at Old Town, when went to cashier, keep having trouble to start Boost (not sure connection issue or app issue), so I went back to my seat, keep trying for about 5 min, once ok went to cashier again and pay.
What I'm saying is, e-wallet still have some catch up in terms of convenience and to be as seamless as credit card wave
