Which Llao Llao outlets? I tried at many different outlets, so far all allowed me to combine vouchers and e-wallet. Only stupid Komugi and Bread Story cannot

exactly, but personally, i think ewallet payment quite convenient (excluding the benefits etc). just open up the app and let the cashier scan the code. no need to keep change esp those coins. in fact even faster than credit card. short and sweet.
*
Don't think it's faster than credit card if you consider the wave function. Also, e-wallet pmt can be delayed by both merchant and user:-

- certain merchant need to start the device, key in pmt type into their system, etc
- for user, need to key in pin, and also rely on internet connection

That day I wanted to use Boost at Old Town, when went to cashier, keep having trouble to start Boost (not sure connection issue or app issue), so I went back to my seat, keep trying for about 5 min, once ok went to cashier again and pay.

What I'm saying is, e-wallet still have some catch up in terms of convenience and to be as seamless as credit card wave

just made a transaction at 11street, RM200 only get RM1.50 shake reward

now shake reward cap at RM1.50? anyone get more than that?  hmm.gif
*
For me, anything above RM 50 not worth to use Boost unless they have ongoing promotion which requires higher spending. But it really depends how much cash back/ rewards you get from using other payment methods.

Nowadays it's extremely rare to get even RM 2 except for certain bill payment, regardless of your spending amount. So if possible, split it into multiple transactions.

The max I received was RM 5 for paying Unifi

Boost is manual enough already, now with this new promo, again so many conditions, RM 30 cumulative, each RM 30 1 entry, then bonus entry for "other spending", etc.

Just wonder how they going to track and ensure fairness, completeness and transparent.

Actually not really forcing ppl to spend, still can withdraw mah, but it's annoying they let you wait 10 months before you get the full amount.

Bringing up the cumulative spend again here, why can't Boost be consistent and straight to the point, maybe my interpretation is not good enough, I extracted 3 different phrases from different Boost promo materials:-

1) Extract from promotional banners
a) Get 1 entry for every RM 30 spent cumulatively in a week
b) Get 1 entry for every RM 30 spent with Boost in a week

2) Extract from Boost mail
Spend a minimum of RM 30 on activities under the Do More tab to gain 1 entry

3) Extract from Boost T&C sent by customer service rep
Qualifying minimum spend is RM 30 accumulative for Scan & Pay transactions for 1 entry

Of course it seems to me cumulative spending is allowed, but some phrases created doubts.

I also asked the customer service if payment with Boost through Fave is considered, he totally tak mau layan me and copy and paste the whole T&C for me to read myself.

After reading it, seems that Fave payment not entitled too as they have this phrase:-

"Payment must be made by using Boost app".

But seeing how messy is their marketing team, I'll not be surprised if they also consider Fave as qualifying entries.

p/s: Where's my drone?

1) shake reward
2) friendly withdrawal facility
3) numerious cb campaigns (although they mess up )

all the above reasons make boost stand out from competitors. unless there is a strong competitor willing to burn money like boost, otherwise boost will still be the leader in msia
*
Spot on, I'll still use unless there's better alternative.

Talking about Yoodo, I've applied I think many weeks ago, that time waited for so long and kept chasing them yet sim card didn't arrive (think waited like 2 weeks), damn pissed off then I told them just cancel the card. Next day, courier called me during lunch time, said in my office already, I told him can keep the card and tabao for himself. End of story, totally blacklist them already

Lucky u. My gf got RM1 shake for RM75 spent at Tesco just now. If it is weekend today I would rather use Amex πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
*
Curious, why not split the bill?
My previous purchase at Tesco split into 4 bills, all 4 bills about RM 15+, shake reward was RM 1, 1, 0.5 and 0.5.
Then I was very curious, coincident only, or there's logic built into the shake where pmt in quick succession will entitle for lower CB in subsequent pmt

She bought electric appliances, one item cannot split bill πŸ˜… that's the bad part. RM1 boost so kedekut.
*
Haha right, should have thought of that, the last person who doesn't split the bills given a chance will be you, shouldn't have doubted that.

That's why the magic number, at least to me always will be about RM 30+/-, more than that no point using Boost unless chasing for promo.

Today spent RM 16++ at Old Town, got RM 1 shake too

Good luck to both of you next week for Fat HUAT shake 😁

To be honest I still dont understand their contradicting TnC as always. TnC says any spending amounting to RM30 will be one entry. But social media says RM30 scan and pay then 1 extra entry if spend on "do more" tab (didn't even mention if spend in do more RM1 consider one extra entry or need another RM30?). And also how if I spent RM30 only on do more-mobile top up, does it Consider 1+1 extra entry or what.

I don't think their system can handle such complicated mechanism yet.

As always their TnC is shit and I foresee they will keep changing it along the way, just like the Christmas gift(sry have to this shit up again🀣)
No point asking the CS also because they are all blur.
*
Me too super tired with their confusing and ambiguous terms. In fact I really have lost interest in this current promo, just spending only when I need it. Previously I'll still try to plan my spending to qualify.

They should learn from banks promo. Just like Maybank, they always give extremely clear examples of how to achieve the chances, by giving different scenario of different registration dates, different amount, different type of spending, number of chances etc. By doing this they clear doubts if there's anything unclear on their T&C

Couldn't agree more with you on that. I think they should hire both me and you to "save" this mess LOL πŸ˜‚
*
Haha they have to pay us good money. In fact I think many users here know quite well what consumer wants/need, way better than their employees. They're spending so much marketing dollars (I do think Boost spend the most compare to all e-wallets we currently have), yet they cannot pay top salary to hire the top brains out there?

I believe getting the right people, paying the right package will create a strong backbone for success.

Hire me, I will make Boost great again.

If they were to hire the right people, it can be properly executed. Moreover, not the first promo, how many promo already. Also, having claim to have 3m users registered, they better get it right asap. 3m user database is not small, of course can't compare to Maybank

Sorry if I've missed certain post..

For those who uses Boost at 99 Speedmart.. what kinda device they're using?
3 of my nearby mart only uses phone to accept payment...

Anyway... frustrated today as all 3 marts can't use Boost today due to their manager's not in... Tried splitting my groceries on those 3 marts... ends up using SPay only..

Tesco also problem... till now, I have 0% success rate using Boost at Tesco (Bukti Tinggi, Klang)...
Still error code 97...
Missed RM150 payment using Boost
*
I've no issue with 99, for my case don't think it's the manager using it, just the cashier.

Tesco sometimes not all counters/devices are working, I've encountered the self checkout counter, maybe out of 5 devices, only 2 are working

Somehow I totally gave up on this contest despite getting some good shake for the previous one. Didn't spend much, and didn't intentionally spend too. Think cumulative spend only like RM 50-70 last week.

Moreover, non of the spending is above RM 30, still have doubts if they really add that up, or simply generate those who spend RM 30 and above only
