1 promo started on Tuesday
1 promo started on Thursday
1 promo started on Friday
7 promos started on Monday

so, my guess is PBB is taking their time to start next Monday since this week is a bit "short" working days.

I wonder if pbb screw up the cb calculation again.

pattern

1) description changes again for the 2nd time. perhaps different person doing the calculation again.

1st time was on week5: (DGP) SPEND NOW 4 MORE - WK4 --> SPEND NOW 4 MORE - WK5 <-- missing (DGP)

iinm, the miscalculation earlier was from week5 until week10 period.

2nd time on week25: SPEND NOW 4 MORE - WK24 --> SPEND NOW 4 MORE - W25 <-- missing K


2) week24's cb quota was estimated to finish around 5:38am (reported here). week25's cb quota finished in around 2:29am? that's 3 hours of user behavior shifting in 1 week time.

since i started tracking these...
week13 - week 18, it gets depleted earlier on average 1 hour per week (8am window gone @ week18).
week19 - week22, cb quota depletion plateaued within 7am window for 4 weeks.
week23 breached 6am+ window.
week24's 6am window completely gone, lasted somewhere around 5:38am.

yes, it's possible to happen for the 3hrs shifting. just curious why week25 and not prior weeks. was it because final 2 weeks rush? or something else.

3) week25's monday was 17 Dec. nothing special, no special promo or events.

If this happened on week26's 24 Dec, then it's very possible because of drastic increase in spending prior to xmas, more ppl awake during xmax eve counting-down to xmas, etc.


just my observation, need more input from others to compare.

I can also presumed PBB gave more cashback than they originally budgeted?

all these are merely speculations on how PBB or any other banks manages their promotions or campaigns.

we can only observe the after-effect of each time we gotten the reward; but not the moment the staff performing the actual calculations.

unless we trigger PBB en masse of high irregularities, PBB assumes correctness in their operation, hence business as usual.

week26 would be interesting to see

possible, but need to be absolute certain the new statement date (28th) will take effect on 28 Jan rather than 28 Feb.

IINM, pbb has some logic to determine whether new statement date will take on current or next month.

my guess is, if you request the change now, it's possible to take effect on 28 Jan. however, if you request few days later e.g. 10 Jan, likely the new statement date will take effect on 28 Feb instead.

agree. we dont know how pbb billing system determine the actual cutoff.

btw, you need to reload only 633.25 (1 transaction) to earn max rm38 cb

if reload for SN4M promo previously, only need to reload cumulative 632.49 to max out rm38 cb.

(60.09 x 10) + (31.59 x 1) = 632.49

this is one of the example to meet SN4M's min RM60 per transaction. the remaining RM31.59 is just to max the cb to RM38.00.
